  • In this video, we demonstrate a 2xMOPP medical interface using NVE’s groundbreaking data couplers with integrated DC-to-DC converters.
For our “patient,” we use a creepy doll equipped with an ECG simulator.
We set a high-pot tester to four kilovolts, which is required for 2xMOPP. The tester’s fail-current threshold is set to 0.3 milliamps, the toughest limit under UL 60601.
A beeping ECG detector confirms that data is passing through the isolator. The isolator remains intact during the safety test, withstanding four kilovolts for one minute with negligible leakage current.
Additionally, we show how our custom-tooled “True-8™” package meets the 2xMOPP creepage requirement under UL or IEC 60601, providing true 8 millimeters of creepage.
    Key isolator features include:
    • Four kilovolts isolation voltage
    • True 8 mm creepage
    • 125 °C temperature range
    • Ultralow output ripple and noise suitable for an analog supply
    • CISPR 32 Class B compliant and CE marked
