It's quite surprising that people criticized Ten Hag so brutally. Yes, he's made mistakes through the season BUT this performance shows that if as a Manager, your key players are fit, you stand a chance of playing better and getting better results. This is the first time in a very long time this season where Lisandro Martinez and Varane are fit enough to start together. At least the performance by United and the Manager in that game against City glaringly proves it.
When Ten Hag had most of his players fit last season, everyone including the Press and a lot of Pundits who dislike him saw it that the team performed better. He finished third in the League, won the Carabao Cup even though people call it Mickey Mouse Cup it's a Cup anyway, got to the FA Cup Final all in his first season. Even Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp didn't do that in their first seasons at City and Liverpool.
Whether Ten Hag is replaced or not, he deserves credit. Two Cups in 2 years in at least commendable despite all the negativity against him going into this FA Cup Final.🙂
