Kovalam beach from Hotel Samudra onwards is spoiled, They have put a mosque right on the beach which had to be sustained by boulders of stones, otherwise the prayerhouse had been swallowed by the waves in monsoon. All fishermen turned into streethotel tents. I used to watch the fishermen, for a whole night at sea with their little boats, their catch was very maigre. Big trailers are emptyng the sea and nothing is left for the poor fishermen.The trailers are from richer Indians They have put a wall on the other side of Samudra and the beautiful sea view dissappeared, then they have squeezed between the olbanyan tree and the beach a Hindu temple which blares day and night some religieus music. When I visited Koveram in 1977 it was so beautiful covered with lush green, it was in those days a village of fishermen except with the 5 star hotel on the rock, a property of a former local Maharadja, the beach has turned in a sort of " Indian Benidorm"
It is only a small beach, you will be done in half an hour. Dirty sand and pushy sales people, full of wild and dirty scary dogs (animals) too that follow you.

India can be a top tourist destination but we need to have better infraustruture & cleanliness. Lastly, top priority to the safety issues.

Coz you can't predict when it rains in kerala. When it doesn't rain it'll be very hot and sunny here which i don't like lol.
