Pankaj Tripathi Interview with Neelesh Misra: Indian actor Pankaj Tripathi is popularly known for his movies Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Stree (2018) and Newton (2017). His other popular movies are Fukrey, Masaan, Dilwale, Nil Battey Sannata, Munna Michael, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Fukrey Returns, Luka Chuppi.
In Bollywood, it was his role in Gangs of Wasseypur that he finally made his breakthrough. Pankaj Tripathi won a Special Mention at the 65th National Film Awards for his performance in Newton.
In The Slow Interview with Neelesh Misra, Pankaj Tripathi opens up about his childhood days, family, professional life and his beliefs. Pankaj says, "as an actor, we should not run away from our social responsibilities. We should perform our duties honestly towards our nation and this is called patriotism." Tripathi says he can direct movies and he is a good storyteller too, many people don't know about this.

Midnight here in Texas, USA. Not a native hindi speaking Indian. But ask me how much I enjoyed this interview. I keep fighting with my Indian countrymates here in US to go back and give something back to our amazing nation and its people. Sometimes feel so down. I grew up in Kolkata, but my family hails from Varanasi and Darbhanga. Both Darbhanga and Varanasi are glitzy now, but in my mind - it's still those rickshaw rides, those summer holidays with the cousins, jumping and climbing trees, going to the Mandi on my uncle's scooter - those things will never go down. "Yaadon ka dweep" yes that is it.
I live in Denver, Colorado now but I miss my early 90's - my childhood, my memories, my stories :)

Can understand this feeling as we have been through the same and ultimately have been settled in Chandigarh only as of today. My dada is no more but he informed us about the village where we used to live in Pakistan, which was called Miaawali. Have a thought of visiting but don't know if I would be able to ..
'Slow' is safe, stable and deep. Ironically the results of 'Slow' is fast actually.
