- System76 is an American Linux computer company. This is the Pangolin 15, the beast of their Ultra-portable lineup. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 7735U Processor and Radeon 680M Graphics. This model has 32GB RAM, a 15-inch 144Hz 1080P display, 1TB of NVMe storage and 10 hours of battery life. Yes, it's CRAZY FAST but my favourite feature is the hardware camera kill switch. laptop is very pretty, imo system76 logo can be smaller and more minimalistic

I've been using this laptop for a few months now and I genuinely love it. I bounced over to Fedora on it for a bit but ultimately put Pop! back on it and I love it. The COSMIC DE is a great fork of GNOME imo. My only gripe is that the finished metal picks up every. single. fingerprint.
I wipe it down often and it's fine, but it can get pretty gross-looking quickly.

I thought Pop OS was the choice of distro installed on their hardware?? Either way, great looking laptop.

I have the Pang11 but I did 64gb of RAM and eventually upgraded to a 2TB hard drive from Samsung with insane read / write speeds. Love Pop OS. So far this has easily been my favorite laptop - not just Linux laptop. I run with full disk encryption and don't even notice the slow down. The only thing I don't like is lack of support for a second (or third) external monitor and lack of space for a second m2 SSD.

I went with the Bonobo bonw15
- 64gb Ram
- 4090 16gb
- 4tb Pop OS(full encrypt)
- 2tb Parrot OS
- 250gb Windows( recently stopped working since taking it out to switch to 2tb windows. Now it won't run windows at all...think it has something to do with tpm but don't know how to disable tpm.)
Aside from the windows issue it runs like a charm with the other two operating systems. Only need windows for game development. Been difficult trying to get the oculus quest and my hotas flight gear to work correctly through wine.
I hope to see the cooling jets for fans on these 40 series laptops though. Runs hot when I need to use for AI or gaming.

yes and no, see the problem with linux on laptops are that gpus and cpus dont play nicely with eachother so linux will just always have the gpu on on your laptop making it use battery up in like 1 hour
The GPU issue isn't a problem with this laptop since it's running AMD along with AMD graphics. Also newer nvidia cards will use the internal GPU unless you specify GPU offloading for the application or use a DE like gnome which will do it on its own.
yes it is, also cheaper and value for money. You get a proprietary os with hdmi 2.1, thunderbolt 4, better display, much more powerful processor (p or h series)..
