Great review I’m a big fan of LCD, & currently own four (3 McLaren’s including their F1 & the short wheelbase V8 Landrover Defender) They are hard to get hold of here in Australia and I think they’re viewed as a bit of an esoteric brand by some. Love the Speedtails, the detailing is so well done & it’s hard to pick a favourite. I’ll be definitely on the lookout for them. The only other reasonably passable version that I know of was done by PosterCars a while ago. (Also in the collection 😁).
Look on Aliexpress! Most are pretty affordable on there and that's where I get a lot of mine. For some reason LCD can be really expensive on ebay and idk why lol. Their McLaren F1 is amazing. I want a couple more colors of that casting. And their dark green F1 is actually the XP5 prototype version which is actually different from the rest I believe
I like the Speedtail a little too. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think it looks better than the Senna. But yeah, LCD is legit. The weave on the full carbon one is 🔥. I kinda want one now!
@@Booster_Diecast I just got my LCD models today. I’m extremely impressed. Especially the interior details. I can’t imagine a 1/64 getting any more detailed than these. I’ll definitely be getting more in the future. I cant wait to see what they release next. My only complaint is how light they are, especially the Mclaren, but the level of detail more than makes up or it.
PLASTIC WHEELBASE?? UGH, I’m not a hater since the details on the cars so phenomenal. But I feel like anytime a model has a plastic chassis/wheel base, it takes away from the models weight. I love the have weighty cars because it feels good when you hold them rather than a light model with such amazing detail
I do agree with you! I wish all models had metal bases. But I can usually give models with acrylic cases like LCD, CM, Tarmac etc, a break on it since a lot of the times I don't take them off the plastic base

I enjoy my LCD's aswell, I just wish they had more heft to them, some feel almost as light as resin models.
I agree, they are very light. But most of the time mine stay in the acrylic so I don't mind too much

I just ordered the lcd blue speedtail and the red na1 honda nsx. They’ll be my first lcd models. I cant wait to have them in hand.

Plastic base saves manufacturing costs. And also is easy to mould it. In that case Carbon fiber looks better with plastic base in my honest opinion
Please compare it to the PosterCars one. A good way to see how good PosterCars really is.
