Thank you for providing this video. For such a masterpiece of Disney animation and storytelling, the creators of this ride didn't seem to put much thought, effort or money into it. It truly is like one of those Seaside Heights dark rides.
Well ya see the problem is that this ride opened way back in the 80’s so of course it’s gonna look low budget however a referb of this ride would make it look good as new
It’s charming old fashioned ride but a part of me wants a facelift to this ride similar to Alice and Snow White with the added film projections in a few places. Mostly in the pleasures island scene. Like the shadow of lampwick’s transformation on the wall or the roughy housing in the brawling tent. But then they’ll have to do the same with Peter Pan and Mr. Toad.
I prefer it this way…screen projections take you out of the imaginary world they have created. This feels like a world you can actually inhabit in some way
I don’t care what anybody said. I loved the new Pinocchio. The classic is still better, but the live action was…okay it’s a tie for both. They’re both great!
@@yourmother897 I said it was garbage. 1 Tom Hanks is a great actor that seemed like he was phoning in the roll. I really didn’t need the back story they gave him. 2. Everything looks so CG. Like everything. The color correction is was way off. 3. The clocks! It was to meta. A who framed Roger Rabbit clock? Please there was no imagination to them and they all looked very CG. In the original they actually made the clocks and then animated them. 4. Pinocchio nose growing scene. Completely missed the point of why his nose was growing. In this version it was a good thing to lie. That is not the point. 5. The ballerina puppet. Could she at least of not been CG. Her moves and facial expressions are almost like Pinocchio. It is fine to add characters to a story if they make sense. For me it did not work. 6. Pleasure Island. Pinocchio really doesn’t want to do any of the bad things that all the other kids want to do and now root beer is evil. It misses the point of why they turn into jack asses and they cut out jimmy cricket (aka his Conscience) from the whole scene. When he starts to turn into a donkey it like why. He really didn’t do bad stuff. It’ like he already had a conscience. 7. His ears and tail. Poof just gone? Give me a break. 8. Monstro. I know that in book he is a sea monster but it looked like they did something called kit bashing. They just bashed anything they thought was creepy and bashed it together. 8. The Blue Fairy. To much CG not enough of her. Cynthia is an amazing singer I can’t wait to see her in Wicked, but they gave her nothing to do. Such talent not utilized. If a wheel is not broke you don’t have to fix it. 🖖
And Mr. Toad as well. It doesn’t have to fancy with cars spinning like roger rabbit but projections from their respective movies. But Roger rabbit could use a face lift too now that I think about it.
I gotta say that this ride is accurate to the 1940s Animated Cartoon Movie Classic from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Pinocchio” and I’m not talking about Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio on Disney+ Because, Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio on Disney+ is very accurate to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Pinocchio” from 1940 which I did not exist in, actually. I’m serious

Pinocchio's Terrifying Journey would be more appropriate. This ride must make kids bawl their eyes out. And forget it if you're afraid of clowns.
