The last few minutes are great. I love how as soon as he's done wrecking he said how great that racing was, then went on to give JJ a ride back to the pits.
yeah I've been a Nascar fan since I was born and have never cared for wrecks. Seeing a pack 4x10 for 3 hours is epic. No other racing sport or track has that kind of 'pack' racing. Sure people can argue SS racing is luck but the 2 car tango means if you are not a top team with really good engine cooling and aerodynamics you might as well not try. At least with pack racing it lets underdogs get a chance. I've been to Tally and It's an amazing sight to see and hear of 43 synced engines.
your right, the rules were different, they were running top speeds of 190 that year while this year they were running speeds of 205, but the pack racing wasn't different, they just didn't bump each other in the corners.
Honestly I think the popular of pack racing and the 2 car tandems are split 50/50 among fans. But as a iRacer. I prefer pack racing. Tandems take way to much work to make it successful compared to pack racing.
the audio, radio communications and video was awesome, I just have 1 complaint, the commercials they SUCK you need to either turn them off or get rid of them how is a person suppose to enjoy the race on borad the car when the STUPID commercials interrupt the race I don't like that please fix that lil problem
I like this years rule package at 'Dega, as for Daytona, the racing sucked, and as for the '84 Firecracker 400, it was the first race that a president of the United States attended, it was Ronald Reagan, won by Richard Petty, of course his 200th victory, and Dean Roper's final race before retirement, and by the way I have this race on dvd, so i've seen it multiple times, and I would not want the drag package from 2000-2003, the cars were way too slow then, I like it fast.
lets see... if you can't go anywhere in pack racing, then how come in the 2010 Talladega races, there were 88 and 87 lead changes among 29 and 26 different drivers, and this year there were 54 lead changes in this race, and on any other track they rareley see over 15 lead changes among 5 drivers, and then how did Dale Sr. drive from 18th to 1st in less than 5 laps in the 2000 fall race? and look at Waltrip in this race, he cam from the wall of cars or from mid pack and almost won this race.

"i dont know how many hits like that i can take"

Say what ya want about the COT. But the car at the end was quite a good looking race car with the rounded spoiler and less boxier nose.
cool, hate to hear that he is out.
3:04:31 - "Four wide through the rest of the field."
3:04:25 ...they were 4 wide last 2 laps they were gonna make it to the finish til tony stewart tried to block
How did he get a concussion
SamuelWilson615 when he got hit from the inside. Or that's what he said.

Big one 3:04:25
3 Million dollar lap lol
It is racing. Pack racing at tally is awesome. I personally found the 2 car tango boring.
