When you finally spoke about your thoughts on Who is Maud Dixon? I literally screamed "YES!" bc I bought it and I was kinda hesitant, but now, I'm so excited get my hands on it!

I thought the same thing about the covers and their summaries. :) There is an upcoming book by Sandie Jones called The Guilt Trip which seems like it might similar with friends. I started Finlay Donovan is Killing It on audio and it was amusing, but I have not gotten too far.
I felt the same way about Finlay Donovan. It’s gave me too much of a “Ben Stiller factor” It was frustrating in the same way as a lot of his movies. I think I gave it 3 stars too.
This made me want to go pick up a thriller!!
I just finished Every Vow You Break today and it was so good, I was expecting it to be disappointing like Survive the Night was, since so many people disliked it, but it was really interesting! I was sitting next to my boyfriend last night reading it, saying "this is so good" and I gasped when you showed the cover of Every Vow You Break with Her Dark Lies, I actually bought those two books together because I liked how similar they looked. I was even a little afraid to try Every Vow You Break since I knew about all the disappointment, but then I saw another video where you said you really enjoyed it, so I was intrigued. The Maud Dixon book, I had tried it through the library, the beginning was so slow I gave up on it, so I'm glad you saw it the same way, but continued on and was pleasantly surprised, I checked the kindle out from my library again and will give it another try. I love surprising books. I have really enjoyed hearing your opinions on books and will continue watching!

I loved Her Every Fear by Swanson while everyone else hated it. Everytime I like a book others hate it and the other way around. That's why it is hard to trust reviews written by someone else because reading is personal and everyone is different.
Yeah it’s always hard to find people with your same tastes! I haven’t read Her Every Fear or heard much about it so I might look into that one 👀

I felt the same as you about Finlay Donovan and Every Vow You Break - so glad someone else had the same “unpopular opinion” as I did! Just got Maud Dixon, and now I can’t wait to start it!
PS I also read the JT Ellison book last month and have zero memory of it already if that gives you any idea 😂

To be honest, when my hold for Her Dark Lies was available at my library, I also thought it was actually Every Vow You Break 😂 They look SO similar! I will say that I gave Her Dark lies a 3-3.5⭐️ rating because there isn’t much suspense in the sense that they give A LOT away pretty early in the book. The two books are similar in the sense that it’s rich people getting married to “normal people,” but otherwise pretty different from EVYB. There’s a nice homage to Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier near the end that was satisfying though haha. I enjoyed EVYB so much more, and so much more than I expected!
Sounds like it’s still worth checking out Her Dark Lies then! Glad I’m not the only one who thought they were the same thing 😂

Every Vow You Break is a great book. 4.7 star (audiobook)
I read “Every Vow You Break” because of the book clubs too.. I was so disappointed. It seemed like such a short book and so much useless back story... like the whole first half was like okay were getting a lot about her back story and then like pointless. And the like laughing at the plane.. I was like is this a joke.. Gah I’m glad it was a 5 star for someone :)
I do agree there was a looooot of useless info. I’ve heard a lot of people hate the laughing at the plane scene and I thought that was so fun hahah I just like some cheesy stuff in thrillers sometimes!
I DNFed Finlay Donovan. I didn't like the writing style nor the character within the first few pages. Every Vow You Break was a 5 star read for me as well. I don't get other's opinions.
