I think that the creepy number 3 is actually 30! If you see carefully, you will see a circle around the ghost's eyes. Also, the number 3 is not written in the center. It is camouflaged because both the ghost and the text are white.

There is no number 1 because it's a 10 day advent calendar. you open it 10 days before halloween and open one each day until 31 october
