  • Chromosomal abnormalities or mutations of the embryo can cause a type of early miscarriage known as embryonic demise, which occurs in the first trimester (within 12 weeks of pregnancy). Embryonic demise means that the embryo is already deceased but has not yet been expelled from the mother’s body, as compared to a natural miscarriage. The embryo and its attachments still remain in the womb of the mother.
Patients should note that the occurrence of embryonic demise is NOT due to hereditary genes from the parents or due to genetic defects of the father’s sperm or the mother’s egg. This condition arises due to the chromosomal abnormalities of the embryo itself and is not related to the parental chromosomes.
However, many doctors commonly misdiagnosed them with the cause being parental chromosomal abnormalities, and due to these misdiagnoses, these patients are further deemed to be ‘untreatable’, and are recommended to opt for:
    ✔️Adoption
    ✔️Surrogacy
    ✔️Give up on having children
In some cases, doctors will even provide some form of treatment to patients, not only leaving the patient uncured, but they end up developing far more serious conditions such as recurrent immunological miscarriages, complete adhesions of the endometrium etc.
