Octopath Traveler 2 Might Be The Best Turn Based JRPG Released in 2023

- Unless Eiyuuden Chronicles is more amazing than I think it will be or Atlas releases Persona 6, Shin Megami Tensei V Director's Cut, or Project Re Fantasy Octopath Traveler 2 will probably be the best turn based JRPG released this year. The free demo is extremely promising and the game has reviewed better than the original. I think the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake is going to be great as well since the original game is so good.

Just finished the game and all the side quests last night and it is way better then the original one (which I loved)
One of the few games that I have ever 100%'d with all achievements, and it earned every damn second of my time.
I can't believe that Partitio's story path ended up being my favorite 😅

Agnea was ehh okay, but her final boss was a nice surprise for the soundtrack.

I’m about 50 hours in, on most Chapter 4’s, and the music, characters, story, and graphics? It’s JRPG heaven.

I regret waiting to for this to go on sale on Steam a month ago... This game deserved full price, but I was too dumb to recognize that. I've LOVED it.

I got 60 hours into the original before giving up as it became too repetitive. I'm 15 hours into the sequel and it's so much better
I got a few hours into the original but quit because I got bored, but played the entirety of the sequel and loved it. Although I wasn’t a big fan of Agnea, Ochette, and Partitio’s stories, but the rest were pretty good.
Can I play sequel before trying the original? Or will I miss smth?
@@andra9694 100% skip the original. It's boring. You won't miss anything. The sequel does have some boring segments tho. I only finished certain storylines

Ummm, I don't recommend you to do that here. You will lose lots of the experience if ypu skip the cutscenes. There's autoplay, which should be enough, there's even x2 speed for dialogues. Also the cutscenes and dialogues in this game are usually short and interesting, so yeah.
