  • Ehh.. Dunno how I feel about this one exactly. It does some interesting things, but it's not spectacularly musical exactly, either. Hey! I'm a huge proponent of anything being able to be music, so why not?
Each two tracks are 80, 160, 320, and 640 Hz and are frequency modulated starting from LFO rates on the first, and ending up in audio rates at the end of the second. Four octaves of a note between D# and E. I used the matriceal mode on the Oxi One, and it's my first time using it, so I really just plopped in a whole whack of trigger, note, interval, etc. data and let er rip. I change the tempo a few times to see what happens, really.
Each part is set to a separate midi channel, 1-4, and the tempera's emitters are set to respond to those in turn. It's a very powerful set up that could be used to make some extraordinarily complex music at the press of a few buttons. Which probably explains the huge mess this one is. Hey! I'm still learning both of these pieces of hardware. It'll come.
I promise the next one will be pretty.

    Tasty to my ears.
I need to be careful or I might pounce on the Tempera

Haha! It's an easy one to want. Highly recommended.
