- These brazen jewelry heists were highly orchestrated and may seem like they had a touch of genius behind them - they did make off with almost a million dollars in jewelry - but it all fell apart, wrecked by sloppy mistakes. Let me tell you about it.

The Mob Reporter here breaking down a pair of high-value heists that look like scenes from a movie - but the script for this thriller soon becomes a comedy. Police ended up being all over these guys, part of the Chester Le Crew, and raids and arrests showed their plotting was all for nothing. The police sweep was called “Project Kraken” and 73 people were hit with hundreds of charges. It was a Hollywood ending.

They are professionals. This is their job and they studyed everything for weeks.. In Italy, in front of Banks, jeweleries we put eavy staff to stop this kind of attacks. Same times they use construction's machinary and are unstoppbles. The operation lasted less than 30 seconds..

Most common mistakes during jewelry heists:
1. Lester was not hired to oversee the job
2. Knockout gas wasn't used
3. Lower Wanted Star Level cheat not used

Bro lester is the most useless and annoying character in gta, literally admits he could've helped more but just doesn't. Always wants more of the cut than he deserves for the minimal work he puts in
When you steal things for a living you’re bound to be caught at some point. You must get it right every time , the law only has to get it right once.
They don’t even have to get it right once.
They could just get lucky.
Too much Surveillance in 2022. Very difficult to get away with anything
Unless if you're politician
Yes and the. "law" are the real crooks. GOVERNMENTS and cops
@@zee9709 true then you make it super obvious since it won't matter anyways.
The guys after driving away in the getaway car:
"Now what?"
"I dont know, i didnt think we'd get this far"
Go to another state ASAP while completely changing outfits along the way? That's what I do till the heat dies down.
They clearly never played GTA. If you ever played GTA, you know that right after a huge heist like this everyone gets their cut, split and don’t even meet for a while.
Though they didn't sell the jewels yet to give anyone a cut.
These guys were ORGANIZED. Holy crap, it's like they had no idea what to do after the actual heist, though.
Look at how they threw their hands up before the guns came out lol. Definitely got a lot to lose.
Lol they drove a truck through a wall during the day🤣 they should be scared
Just like when your jokes get a girl laugh and then you dont know what to do next.
*I wasnt expecting to go this far

This is like that plankton meme
That looked like a nicely executed job. Distraction across town, good setup to make sure they had the parking spots they needed, in and out in 60 seconds. Too bad for them about the clumsy hideout escape and pre-existing surveillance. For us random civilians though it was a fun job to watch
I thought the same thing everything about the job seemed flawless until the end and whoever was in charge of torching the car and checking it for stolen goods and evidence did a shit job.
Man facts. They had that Shit thought out lol something always go wrong
Well planned a bit sloppy with the execution but they got the loot. They was on there ass watching them so they was getting pinched after executing their score before they even left on there mission.
Very much like something Lester would have you do on gta, especially the across town distraction hahaha
All was well planned except for the absolute rookie arsonist
So you telling me they had the brain to plan all this BUT STILL took their phones and wallets to the heist? 🤣💀
Sloppy
They needed a phone to call lester and wallet to pay the mechanic to bring some wheels dawg
No… if you pay attention they said the cops went to their meet up shop and did a bust but two people tried to escape and got caught by their OWN barbed wire. THATS where they left all that stuff behind. Not at the heist. The whole thing was still sloppy tho
@@brandonna606 like u could do better
Living pieces of shit. Can’t give them that much credit. Those movie villains aren’t real. They exist in the government and other places. These dudes are just clowns

They managed to avoid hurting anyone, TBH I was kinda hoping they would get away with it.
That’s a big operation, lots of moving parts, lots of players & therefore a lot to go wrong. Thanks for another great video. Always look forward to seeing them.
It also means an awful lot of people to divide the loot with. Besides the people directly doing the smashin' and the grabbin', think of all of the drivers of each of the vehicles as well as the drivers and gunmen on the distraction shootings and so on...
@@TheMobReporter It seems like the "crew" was a lot bigger than even the players in the heist you just listed. If it had just been those people involved with the robbery itself, they just might have gotten away with it. The preexisting surveillance was the key to the whole thing getting busted. I guess all the stolen cars required is probably the most complex aspect. Gathering that many stolen cars of the type required (tow truck included) would require a large gang of "competent" criminals.

well that was a good job I would say. the problem was that they were already under investigation.
another issue is once you donate your wallet so kindly to the police it does aid them a tad
If they were any good, they'd have never even been on their radar and even if they were, they should have been acting like someone was ALWAYS watching anyways.
This is really the problem - a street gang attracts a lot of heat. A pro heist crew should not have that kind of baggage.

0:35 wtf how did he lose his pants 😂
loved the video! Please do more heist videos they're so entertaining to watch
This was a good one Mod Reporter. Great coverage. These dudes looked pretty well organized, but when you have that many low level criminals involved something is bound to go wrong. The guy that left his pants and all of its contents and the guy that tried and failed to burn the car both seemed to be the biggest goof-ups involved. Them, and the guy that thought it would be a good idea to meet in the same place twice. Lol
You have it wrong, as many in the comments do. This was where they hung out, the police raid wasn’t the same day of the heist. In reality the pants and wallet really didn’t fo anything because the police were already investigating them and likely knew everything all ready.
The score music playing in the bkground at start fits perfectly for a heist!
Thank you. Agree.
Also props to this narrator. *Tosses hammer* "Nice catch" I love it.

Almost a million dollars doesn't go too far after they fence and split between at least 73 people. Really wasn't worth the risk in the first place.
They didn’t split between 73 ppl s tupid Whoever was on the mission gets a cut. The rest of the gang doesn’t get anything but stories of how it went down
Still $12,000 apiece even if they did split it 73????? Ways
@@rememberthiscomment7434 You'd risk years in butt-stuff prison for that? Let's be honest, the guys doing the hard work probably weren't getting an even spit anyways. There's more than likely someone higher up, or a group of people, taking the lions share. And that's before you factor in the costs of fencing what you stole, because nobody is paying retail for hot items.
How did you decipher that it's 73 people lol? Who said all 73 people were part of the heist?
@@MrTVx99 They're a gang with ties to the mafia. You really think only the people hitting the stores were the ones taking the proceeds? Those 73 people were all part of the gang network in one way or another, and nobody is offering services for free. Tell me how you think it works? The guys bust in the shops and sell the stuff on fb marketplace, only to get insta-jailed? If we're talking organized gang with mafia ties, we're talking about everything from melting jewelry for raw precious metals, to resetting jewels to be unrecognizable, to recutting them. How do you expect to do all that and keep the whole bag? Not gonna happen.
Plot twist they have fake ID’s in the wallets left behind, and now some are sipping mojitos on a beach.
great video like always
Thanks, A. I appreciate hearing
I used to tag along the riverbank, some billboards, ECT. Everytime I'd leave to do my stuff, I'd park my car In a safe area(no tickets, street sweeper, ECT) and I'd leave my wallet with id and anything that can identify me in the car. I don't do that no more but it's just common sense to have nothing on you if you have to run away
A gang still living in a housing project aren't smart, to begin with, the first thing you do is move out and get away from said gang and lifestyle.

Another great report bossman
Another tale of cat and mouse. This sounds like a movie plot haha good story.
The security cameras being an hour out of sync could have been an incredible touch of luck for them had they not fucked up. It could have let them set up an alibi elsewhere.
I also love imagining the witnesses outside like "wtf is. Happened? They crashed into the building!" Then one guy peeks in like "yoooo they're robbing the storeee!!" Everyone ghasps and dips.
You know, had they pulled it off. They deserve it lmao. But anyways, I never understood how people plan to get out of sight right after a robbery. Like there is cameras mfff everywhere. With how many cameras there are on the street, they can almsot literally trace you from the bank to the exact spot you wanted to go.
