Nolan may pulverized Mark here, but Mark landed the strongest hit in that battle when he said "I still have you, Dad". It was so so strong that it shook Nolan to his core.

Also Viltrumites have a healing factor. Which is one of the reasons why they live so long. Which is the reason Mark always heals so fast after every beatdown

Yea I agree but it’s kinda different since Omni Man and Viltrumites are different species and is not from the same planet. Leopold is a disgusting beast because he committed grave sins against humanity, while to Viltrum humans are like animals to use. This show literally blew me away. Coming in knowing nothing, I have become obsessed with this Universe. I am so excited for the next season's because it makes the stuff of this season feel so minimal its crazy. That train scene was one of the most intense scenes of any show I have seen in a very long time. This is one of the best first seasons of a show I have seen.
The moment i open the door and see Amber i would have slammed the door in her face lol

His dad stopping was definitely a fight between what he was taught, and the conflicting lessons he learned from Debbie.
The empire taught him to seek glory and expand Viltrum, to be cunning and become skilled at deception and destruction. He must have felt a lot of joy from his society that rewarded that.
As we get older it's harder to find joy in new things we don't understand, we may even be disgusted with ourselves if we can't agree with a strong need we have. Debbie opened a seam and he knew by instinct that there was something right about valuing the joys in a life of peace. Viltrum seems to teach that a weak life is not worth keeping alive, but why is it wrong to let live? Unless you're trying to be an emperor and you have to kill anyone who opposes your ideology.
That shit was sad when omni-man was asking mark (what will you have in 500 years) and mark said (you, dad) then omni-man took off crying, almost made the homies cry 😢
I read the comic back in the day and that moment has always been one of the iconic comic moments in my memory. Just perfection and translated spot on.

Omni man describes their powers like muscles that get better as you train over time and mark is essentially a toddler with his powers and omniman is probably hundreds if not thousands of years old, that’s why he is astronomically stronger than mark rn

the fight omniman vs invincible reminds me the fight I had with my dad. we were boxing he broke my cheeks and I broke his knuckles. it got pretty intense, but I learned you dont fight your dad until he turns 75 years old cause is easier to defeat him.

Ya know, crazy thing is, now that we know the true deal behind Viltrum and Viltrumites, and how infamous they are throughout the galaxy, well, remember when Mark went to Mars, and asked the king of Mars if he knows about Viltrum, and it made sense that the king knew, since they're so infamous? Just felt like pointing it out.
Also, all of Mark's and Nolan's talks have just a different tone to them from episode 1 and onward now that we know Nolan's secret, and watching the show from the beginning feels so much different because of it, cause everything Nolan has said has actually had a WAY different meaning that we never picked up on because of this!

I love how you can see that Mark is right, when Omni Man came to earth he was a viltrumite but earth change him, he could have raise Mark to be a Viltrumite and make easier to abandon everything, but he wasn't.
I'm not saying that Omni Man is a good guy, but he was trying so hard to convince Mark and himself about the supremacist ideals of Viltrumites were right.

Great reaction, the finally was amazing. Kirkman really played us, as you say Omni-man is Superman with a mustache so even if we know it's not dc, somewhere in our head, we still hoped that he was like Superman, that he had a reason, that he was not really a villain. The fun fact about Omni-man is that for him, even Immortal-man who was born in the stone-age is probably a child (or a pet with a longuer life). who knows how many millenia, he had already lived.

Omniman is like Superman mixed with first season Vegeta.
Nolan is not human, as much as we cant look at him as a human after what he did, he never looked at us as anything equal to him.
In the light of that he was not prepared to turn Mark to his side and he probably killed the Guardians only because when Mark got his power Nolan did not want Mark to face them, you know, he wanted to teach Mark to get stronger and "conquer" the planet for the Empire. That was his plan.
I think Nolan did nothing to get Earth because he thought if Mark will not get his power he can basically wait till his family dies naturally then he can do the job alone but Mark got his power so the plan changed and he was not prepared to face this scenario at all that is why this happened.
I heard that Amber is less annoying in the comic for this arc but I have never read it

Based on the homonymous manga written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa (in Japan he is known as the master of suspense), it's the best and most faithful adaptation of a manga to an anime, and has the best villain of all time. If you like suspense, you will love it.
PS: I warn you that you will probably have a lot of criticism for your opinion on Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, because it is the anime series best considered in MAL (myanimelist.net, the IMDB of manga and anime; FAB has an average grade of 9.18), though the second part of the thrid season of Attack on Titan was about to snatch the top spot from it.

If i had one problem with this series, it would be that mark and amber are still together. Like, I already thought mark deserved better (and more convenient)(eve) after episode 7, but now I also don't want then together for the simple fact it will be too weird. Like, he will live thousands of years. At least have him with someone who also lives as long as him, if not longer

She actually does age. She died of old age once and was resurrected immediately after. Oh my gods, imagine seeing Mark date a 90+ year old looking woman then the next day seeing him with a 20 year old looking one, that's gotta be weird as heck.

Saiyans live up to about 130 years old, they're the opposite of Viltrumites in terms of that. They age slowly until they turn 80 then they age much, much quicker.

Actually he had a pretty good reason. The man is thousands years old , from a society that are doing this as an everyday thing. Only taking under consideration that he a) was hoping that Mark wouldnt get powers so he wouldnt have to start the mission. and b) left his mission and planet says lots of things about him and how he grew in just 17 years.
Also from what im hearing from left and right Omni man compared to any other Viltrumite is a sweetheart.

This season finale was SICK.. LOVED the clash of ideologies, it was actually done in a believable way. (only thing that takes away is Amber and Mark getting back together!?! Just let it die between them already ugh!!)

This is just me but my main problem was everything that happened in ep 6 with her berating him for leaving, when she supposedly knew about him being a hero for weeks. Otherwise I don’t have a problem with her, though I do think they should stay friends.

After all, if she knew, she expected that sooner or later he would trust her enough to tell her.
Mark had asked a couple of days ago to give him another chance to "start over," and if she knew already then, she was probably waiting for a confession. But he promised to change again, and continued to lie.
I recall her words on her first date - "an honest man, I like that."
The writers gave us hints from the beginning about what Amber values most in a partner - Honesty.
Not to mention that during the meeting with her parents, she told Mark that she had already had a relationship that fell apart, and she didn't want that to happen again. Hinting that there were similar problems - either lack of attention or lying.
Going back to university. If she knew but hoped that he himself would sooner or later confess, she purposely acted exactly as if she didn't know.
It was her way of telling him, "you're lying to me, and that would be my reaction if I didn't know."
But he never confessed, and she broke up with him.
That he did confess afterwards is a little late for that. If the confession was not out of love or trust at all, but out of fear of breaking up, she has a right to be angry.
And where are all these people who are screaming that: "he didn't tell her to protect her?" Yes? In that case, he just drew a huge red cross on her back, because she now knows and is in danger. Well done Mark! You're as good as ever!(I'm love Mark btw, no hate here)
It took two times where Mark almost died( first Battle Beast then Omni-Man) for her to forgive him🙄. I really hate and can't stand at the sight of her😡
i think not supremacist, and more like they forget principle of "to live and let live". Glory in rank and battle and owning worlds means nothing when you aren't free, and learn to live in peace and prosperity.
I draw fewer comparisons to aryan supremacy instead I see it closer to the Roman Empire with the imperialism. Subjugate what you see as weaker or inferior races and use them to the benefit of the empire etc.
