  • The Unova Region is a very infamous, yet iconic Pokemon region for the way it did so many things differently than we had come to expect with the franchise. However, just like any other generation, the Pokemon Black and White era introduced a hoard of mysteries and unanswered questions that still to this day have not been explained, and in this video we are going to cover five of the most interesting ones that Unova has to offer!

    I think it was Ghetsis’ Hydreigon that damaged his eye and arm, as he supposedly forced it to evolve early and Hydreigon also knows the move frustration which is at full power, meaning that it hates its trainer. Also it has the item life orb in BW2 so yeaaaa hahha

      Its heavily implied that Ghetsis was burned by Reshiram. Its not just his arm but his eye as well, there's concept art of him without his eyepiece with a circular burn scar.
      There isn't any indication how but its quite possible it was his first attempt to control it, and when that failed he decided to use N as the 'chosen one' instead. Even in the anime his story revolves around it, which suggests White/White 2's version is canon.
      As for the Pokemon who raised N, that would be zoraork, the one that showed up in his flashback. That's probably why he styles his hair like one, to symbolize their connection or something.

    • @giboit.
      @giboit. Před 4 lety +55

      @@ZombieBarioth Just a small correction there. Black and White and Black 2 and White 2 aren´t two versions of the same story. The Black 2 and White 2 story is a continuation that occurs two years after the events of Black and White. So, both are canon.

    • @ryanstaiger1712
      @ryanstaiger1712 Před 4 lety +15

      Asta Fire people just aren’t sure what exactly it would be out of the three. Remember that Kyruem is the husk shell of the 3, the thing that was left behind after the split, so it’s not hard to imagine that that’s what the original frame of the body looked like, also notice how part of one of Kyruems wings are broken off. I like to think that Kyruems ice typing comes from the bitterness of being alone and having no truth or ideals within it, as it was left behind. Fun to speculate tho, I’m not sure what the typing would be in the unified Pokémon

    I actually have this theory about the original dragon that I think is pretty plausible. Specifically its type
    Obviously it has to be a dragon type, but I believe it's a pure dragon type that can wield the powers of fire, ice, and lightning. When Kyurem transforms it keeps its ice type, which may lead you to think it's the original dragon's type as well, but the thing is both forms of Kyurem are still incomplete. When you look at White Kyurem, you see that most of its left side is made of Reshiram's body while with Black Kyurem its right side is made of Zekrom's body, and the rest of it is still made of ice. Base form Kyurem is said to expel freezing cold air and that its body froze when that ice energy leaked out. When it transforms, only part of that hole is plugged up so ice energy still leaks, but it's able to control the element of the dragon it fuses with, hence why it can learn the fusion move of the dragon it absorbs. Well, if both dragons could be absorbed, then those holes would be filled and the ice energy would be contained, leaving its body ice free, and dropping that ice type, but still able to control that power. That is why I think the original dragon is a pure dragon type.
    I swear I'm on to something here!

    • @captainnwalps6689
      @captainnwalps6689 Před 4 lety +15

      I doubt they would do this but they should make it dual type Dragon/Dragon. It would get twice the stab bonus of dragon moves and be 4x weak to dragon/Ice/Fairy. Maybe it could have an ability that makes it immune to Ice as well

    • @kenpachizaraki5237
      @kenpachizaraki5237 Před 4 lety +4

      UnovaKid 24 it could be that its a pure ice type which has a special ability that allows it to get stab in fire electric and ice type moves and would have a base stat total of 800 or something but im pretty sure that will be able compete with mega rayquaza cuz the new legendary game freak nowadays designs can compete with it.I’m also pretty sure that arceus will get a buff of somekind in sinnoh remakes(hopefully) and it may foreshadow a fourth dragon(original kyurem) besides the creation trio that was meant to rule over earth or something since u know giratina rules over reverse world palkia over space and dialga over time.If gen 4 remakes ever does come out tho they can foreshadow the original kyurem for gen 5 remakes.Just my opinion

    I don’t want a gen. 5 remakes, I want sequels, a BW 3. They can bring in the original legendary dragon pokemon by bring back original 2 protagonist. Think about it, in the first games whatever version you choose you’ll get the opposite mascot pokemon (black-Rashiram/white-Zekrom), and in the sequel you get the mascot pokemon that coincides with whatever color version you choose; and since there are only three, and all three have been captured in the cannon timeline. Ghetsis and Team Plasma can around and cause mass destruction, like they did to the Opelucid City in BW 2, to capture attention of the Heroes of Unova. Not doing nonsensical thing, looking at you team Flare.
    Like why? Why do you need to steal fossil? Or taking over the pokemon balls factory? Or stupid Lysandre announce to the whole region his plan? You already have everything you need for your plan to go accordingly but you stupidly doing stupid thing. i think everyone is overlooking one huge clue here. if the original dragon split apart because the older brother wanted to build a world of truth and the younger wanted to build one of ideals, it's plainly obvious that N was mimicking this ancient lore in the plot of Black and White. so with that in mind, if you had a person who wanted to build a world of truth AND ideals enter the scene, would that not bring Zekrom and Reshiram to come together once more? my gist here is, if human will split them apart, human will can put them back together. Black and White 3.

      Anyways, Both Galar and Unova had two ruling brothers, but interestingly enough, Galar's brother rulers stuck together, but Unova's brother rulers split, and both parties each had a powerful legendary pokemon, But the difference again is that the Galar brothers had separate Legendaries, but the Unova brothers shared one powerful legendary pokemon.
      Oooooh this is really making me interested in any possibility of history between the two regions!!! And it also makes me want to see an alternate timeline with their respective Legendaries switched, So the Galarian twin Legendaries were with the Unova brothers, and the original Unova Dragon was with the Galarian brothers!

    So my theory around genesect:
    Its a kabutops. The reason why i think this is because the ancient versions of kabutops weren't necessarily water/rock type. Like with every other fossil pokemon, it probably gained the rock typing from the process that fossilized it. Its original typing may have been water/bug, so when they modified the kabutops they replaced the water typing with steel and kept the bug typing.
    Of course there is a flaw with this theory, and that is there arent any bug type kabutops. One possible solution is that the plasma scientists had found an ancient undisturbed ecosystem with these ancient variants of kabutops, like how in the anime ash stumbles upon some ancient pokemon in the episode where charmeleon evolved. Another answer is that there exists certain kabutops fossils that have retained the bug typing from the original pokemon and not the water typing. I would imagine that the bug parts of a kabutops would be quite fragile, so that may be why we havent seen one of those fossils yet.
    The third explanation i have, which is also the most boring one, is that the plasma scientists were somehow able to perfectly replicate an ancient kabutops using some highly advanced technology.

    My ideal BW remakes include both the original and sequel stories together in the same game.
    My favourite way to do this would be to have BW2 be the main story with playable flashbacks to BW. There would also be the ability to share a team across both times or to use completely separate Pokémon in each, however the former would be more likely.
    The more likely outcome would be that BW2 would be a new game+ mode after you beat the story where your Pokémon and items are saved and accessible in their own save file and inform flashbacks in the present such as if you used a Heliolisk for the Flying gym.

    As a kid I don't quite remembered why Black and White were hated. Mind enlightening me?

    It's interesting to note that when N is crowned he raises his right hand, maybe this representing N being ideals (right) and something may have happened to cause Ghetitis to lose his ideals. It's also good to note that while yeah Kabutops isn't bug type that may be because what originally would have been bug type was replaced by the rock type

    I didn't care for Black when I first bought it near launch, got through like half and lost interest. I picked it back up last year, ended up finishing it, and really enjoyed it. Now I'm going to play through White 2.

    For the number 4 pick I have an antithesis suggestion that's worth seeing. We all know that Deino and its evolutionary relatives were once supposed to be a type of cyborg dragons but that idea was scrapped and they were later repurposed into the released ones that we know today. So what were their designs actually like beforehand? It would be cool to see why they were scrapped initially and remade .

    I still think Genesect is a modified Kaputops. It's flight mode is very similar to Kabuto, the very similar shape in it's normal stance, and as for Kabutops lacking the bug typing, that could be explained through the theory where Fossil Pokemon gain the Rock type through the resurrection process.

    Ghetsis is like geovani, he went for a strong Pokemon and the Pokemon tried 2 kill him with an attack ghetsis never recovered

    Imagine a black and white 3. They could bring back the sprite design and make it more advanced. Or maybe a prequel where you play as N. Imagine how sick a spin-off would be like that.

    About Kabutops and Genesect, I think the Kabutops we see today is a rock type because it was extracted from a fossil, but maybe the species that lived 3000000 years ago was a bug type

      hades. Also hence why omastar family and aerodactyl are also rock types. Would make sense that omastar could also have been a big as it looks like a snail and aerodactyl’s original form could have been dragon type

    Broski Hoops&Hiphop im surprised you didn't mention like in your super older videos back in 2016 and 2017 that Ghetisis arm (in older pokemon theory videos) got burned by N's darmanitan i think when he used flare blitz or flamethrower on him before the events of the first black and white games ( i think in the manga it legit happened) his Arm got i think ppl said in theories that darmanitan used fore blast flare blitz or flamethrower burning his arm.Never head the kyrume freezing Ghetisits arm theory thats a new one!=) Also i did hear other poketuber theorist back in the days (like 6 or 8 years ago) That if Kabutops was not the ancient ancestor of Genesect then it was either Scyther or Scizor=O wild and crazy huh hoops? thanks for this cool video my dude!

    I think Genesect is Kabutops. Remember, revived Ancient Pokemon got their genes altered so the Ancient Kabutops was probably water and bug, but due to revival, It got the rock typing instead. Genesect on the other hand became Bug Metal.

    Man what that original Dragon look like and why haven't we gotten other Pokemon who could fuse yet? Fusion is the logical next step.
    We should have had a Triple Battle with the First 3 Gym Leaders as well.
