    Awesome to see the local trails on the channel! Glad you said even the green trail was aggressive, I've seen it send a good handful to the ER. Shepherd has the gnarliest stuff closest to STL, can't wait for the race in May!

    Awesome video! Thanks for coming to the park and highlighting Ironton and Arcadia Valley Outdoors. The amount of great stuff that has happened in the Valley since the park opened (less than a year ago!) is eye-popping, as is the amount of great stuff on the drawing board. Hope to see you back again soon.

    MTB is really getting better in MO, I live closer in and ride Castlewood, Cliff Cave, Chubb Trail etc. I'm starting a nice DH/Long travel/ Freeride build with Shepherd in mind. The best thing about MO is you hit the trail, and ride what comes at you, no Whistler smooth super groomed flowy trails. Trail choice here really separates the skill level quickly!!! All hail the gnar!!!

    Excellent. and Thanks for the insight to camping & bike shops in the area. I RV tour, and mtn bike, well over half the year, and this kind of info, and LINKS, make the trip well rounded and worth the drive. Personally I tour other states, but if I find a good excuse to head out that way, then I'll be all over this spot!

  • @captnhuffy
    @captnhuffy Před 2 lety +1

    I have a question regarding your bike selection: You started with the Levo and switch to the Rail. Why? Did you ride so much that you needed more battery? Did you think that (maybe) the Rail would be a better choice on the more difficult trails?
    p.s. that is the way I love my Greens. Rather than "G" rated , that Green looked more like a "PG" or even a "PG-13" .. Yes, yes, before they had green blue black and double black ratings, we used to use Movie ratings to rate trails... We had G, PG, PG-13, "R" and "hard R" ratings.
    XXX rating was reserved for = crazy bramble with hike-a-bike... the kind of ride you would never let your wife know about, but she would notice the scratches on your back Yeah, a mostly true story.

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  Před 2 lety +2

      I switched because we're always testing bikes and wanting to compare different suspension platforms on different types of terrain so we can best educate ourselves for the long term reviews we conduct. Riding a bike just a few times on one type of terrain does a disservice to our viewers who are potentially spending 4-5 figures on a bike!
