as this page www.loreal.com/Brand may shed some light on the fact that companies that own loreal, maybelline, nyx also own giorgio armani, YSL, shu uemura...i'm only mentioning this b/c of your comment on research and development...many ppl in the industry have stated that the overall product and ingredient is the same... the higher cost comes in b/c of the packaging...don't get me wrong...i prefer my MUFE over Fit Me anytime but it's more preference than superiority in quality...also many mua in hollywood use drugstore products as this page (and there are more like this) suggests www.refinery29.com/hollywood-favorite-drugstore-beauty-products#slide ... i think it's just preference rather than the quality or r&d of a company...of course there are exceptions but you get my point
Shazia Farhat There is a difference in the quality of the products too not just the packaging. The cheaper products contain lots of talc and other fillers that require you to build the colour layer after layer which is tedious .. Higher end products have excellent colour payoff due to the amounts of pigments and they are milled finer too.
What was insinuated by his comment w/o much explanation was that he uses them b/c they do more research and development on the expensive brands than the drugstore ones...yes if you compare like elf w/ say tarte you will definitely see a huge difference in the listed ingredients...most ppl who read his comment will assume that they HAVE TO PURCHASE expensive name brands to get this look...NOT TRUE...when you make comments you have to be careful how you put it out there b/c not all ppl go out and research and then decide...some just trust the advice and follow through...that's the reason for my reply...and believe me even the higher end products have fillers now and then...i've worked in science and labs like these...
