It took me through three counties and a very patient father to find most of the 1st three waves that were available at launch, except Darth Maul, Anakin Skywalker. Believe it or not... the last store we went to that day, a TRU in Annapolis MD was where I found Jar-Jar. Even after the film was released, Jar Jar toys were still pretty popular sellers, for kids anyway. I was 11 when I first saw Episode I and everybody my age found Jar-Jar pretty darn funny. It wasn't until after a few more years of rewatches, growing more sophisticated in tastes as we reached teenage years, a lot of us would join the Jar-Jar sucks crowd.

EP 1, 2 and 3 are great movies, we have an iconic Darth Maul, the Clone Wars, Edgelord Anakin, taking out the Padawans. Honestly, that trilogy showed you cannot expect a young kid to be an emotionless flesh bag, the Jedi way is all about suppression of yourself, I can see why he went to the Darkside, especially him being so Force sensitive. There are zero memorable characters in the new trilogy, I don't care what happens to any of them.

The first realeased Naboo fighter ships had an error variation also. There's black electrical tape covering up words on the back of the box that I believe say "Authentic sounds" or something like that. I took the tape off of one to see what it said, but I forget exactly. I'm not taking the tape off mine.
I think people just forgot just how bad Star Wars mania was in the late 90s and early 2000s. There is a reason some many kids of that time are hardcore SW fans now.
