Brother, you are doing great job by unearthing mysteries in African, which most of us wouldn't have had idea of its existence. God bless you
Thanks for all you do bro proudly Benin in the building 🏫 just loving my heritage too bless to be Benin and black 🖤 girl period
The story of Ahruan have a two side. The other side is tied to his brother Oba Esigie and his step mother Queen Idia( Oba Esigie's mother) the popular Benin face mask. Nollywood only focused on Queen Idia our warrior Queen. Edos have many mystic powers. Ahruan is still alive in the lake mystically. Our new generation Edos are not fully informed. I remember 40 or 30years plus ago there was an issue in the land our then Oba had to consult his coming for help. That morning, most royal areas where swept clean before daybreak. His story is not really out there because he is still much around mystery. Then we valued our culture, there are days the Benin men don't eat meat or red oil food we can't speak about the royal household putting your feet on the ground. When people no longer value there culture, it dies. I know the full story of Prince Ahruan and it is a very long one. He fell because of anger and quest to get justice or what he felt was his(throne). But he was never destined to be Oba atleast not when Queen Idia had her son politically elected to be. Queen Idia went to war with Ahruan to help her son who was almost losing to Ahruan. She defeated him with mystic powers. His tragedy made him join with the river. Many years ago, most Edo people have powers to hold them to Life. Until somethings are done, they can not really die. Well enough side already.
So interesting and enlightening, I wish you could say more😊
The water is still worshipped till date, oruehn or so,the festival is still done in my village till date every 25 of april

Thank you for your wonderful videos. Nigeria is a wonderful place. Be blessed and safe on your journeys.
This is benin but I have a feeling before colonization Benin was part of nigeria...like how angola and brazzaville was part of DRC congo before portgual and belguim split it up
@@user-wl5ve5zv5j This is Benin kinhdom Nigeria, not Benin republic. That country got it's name from this kingdom because of their historical connection to this ancient kingdom.
The great Iruan of Udo town I'm the daughter of the soil, proudly edo girl💯
❤❤❤ wow thank you for sharing this is an amazing story....❤❤❤❤
Wonderful!
God is indeed wonderful.
You are trying for doing all these.
Bravo!!
I know about the story.
It is said that when he was conceived by his mother he didn't cry.because at the time the current king was looking for the next to be king.but he has two wives.but the first born was supposed to be arhuan(I don't know if i got it right)but because he didn't cry his brother cried first,so he was cried first, this was the cause of the rivalry.i heard they had to break palm not on his head😂 . that's all i know. I am not Edo by tribe, but was born there.
Nice video,,,keep it up, history is the symbolic means of extistence
There are highly educated people in Nigeria, why have they failed to write History books about these people only writing books about criminal politicians? These are the stories we need to hear as Africans. We keep reading the Bible stories that were written about what happened in somebody's hometown.
Even our movie industry they can make good movie with this stories
@wowneche is true, they can use these historical stories for movies
Don't worry, Americans and the Brits will come do it for them as usual and make money off it.. sad 😢
...tell us my brother their problem is belly structure and selfishness
The Bible is our history as a black nation because we are the true Israelites and Hebrew Israelites, we lost our identity as in Deuteronomy 29. South Africa is the true Israel. Mark this as God's revelation, it is all unearthed
Oh my lovely brother this is so awesome ❤
Sir you visted my place of birth. Benin city. The Lord bless and keep you sir.

The Real Status Of The Gaint Is In Udo Community.
Funny story about the museum. There used to be a statue of the unknown soldier there, standing on the top of a tall white column. When we were little, my mom who is Igbo told us once that that “that is my brother”. Basically meaning all the Igbo soldiers who died or were lost during the civil war. Well, we literally thought that it was a statue of our uncle and we would tell everybody that the statue at the Benin Museum was of our uncle.
As an Edo girl this is hilarious 😂😂😂❤
😂😂😂
Mad man 🎉
😂😂 Abeg I nor fit laugh oh you nor know small pikin sense that time we dey like show show well say we get one rich uncle or auntie 😂😂

Wow this is really nice…funny enough the statue is in front of my street in Udo…And as for the lake he entered it’s just by the road side I pass there literally most times…You can even get his foot prints too here in udo at the back of Udo miss school..As he was said to have walked bare foot with anger from Udo to benin during the war so his foot prints are everywhere in udo
Instresting story of arua the giant in Benin kingdom.
I'm glad you enjoyed the story
ARHUANRAN, according to Benin story, they said ARHUANRAN only have power but he didn't have sense /wisdom.
@wowneche asked about the BINI moat. I was told it’s the foot 🦶 print of this prince
The statue is like a metaphor to mean something, it does not really mean that the guy was that huge
Nice
