Fox couldn't catch a chicken laying an egg
They could if it was happening in the infield during an intense battle for the lead
@@wyatt7750 honestly, I thought I saw LaJoie flip on that first angle coming to the line so the fact that no one in the booth mention either Berry or LaJoie going airborne and upside down until the 3rd replay on the front stretch should be more shocking than it actually is, but that’s FOX for ya
I'm surprised they didn't cut to commercial during the finish.
@@thethreeretardclan the commercials are getting so bad on FOX, I don’t mind them front loading them at the start so we can get the final 20-25 laps of the race without any commercials but that one full screen commercial with 5 to go in stage 2 was just ridiculous 😭💀
@@wyatt7750or if the chicken was next to a kid in stands
McDowell thought he was driving a #3 Goodwrench Monte Carlo for a hot second🤣
Kind of surprised Clint didn't say something like "Eh, I did it first."
I was thinking the same thing
Thank you NBC for giving me the replays that FOX can't
boohoo
Imagine getting offended because you watch a race on a certain station 🤡🤡🤡
Real gamer driving, with expected result.
It was a real battle and classic win, and really clean when you look at the planning of the front 2 dicing it out . Those 2 are Racers.
Thanks to a dirty ford gameplan making calls to the #4 crew chief to tell #4 not to push. Loser gameplan to try and get a win for the shitstang anniv
@@rodneycaupp5962 I am guessing you have not watched any racing besides NASCAR if you think spinning someone and wrecking half the field is "racing".
I'm a big McDowell fan and even if he didn't win he could've gotten second which would have been huge for him, but no he had to block twice
Yep. First block was fine, very expected. Second block that wrecked him, was all him. you take a BIG risk when you block a second time and he paid the price for it. A shame, too, he's shown himself to be a very strong driver with the Gen7 car
McDowell looked like a rookie blocking. Terrible.
It wasn't a bad block it's just he blocked too hard and got his left sides on the apron a little when he was also turning back right to not go all the way down and it turned him
Good job McDowell, finishing 26th and destroying half the field is way better than finishing 2nd or 3rd and driving it on the trailer🤦🏻♂️
How does Fox miss a flip in the tri-oval???? They always show like 10 different camera angles of crashes there until now.....WHEN THERE'S A FLIP!!! Surprised they didn't go to commercial or something on the last lap.
They actually got it if you watcht he replays. It was more of a wall ride with a roll over. Flips are when the cars are in the air.
@@nomadman5288 Tell that to someone flipping a burger.
@@nomadman5288 At the end of the spring race back in 2016 when Kevin Harvick got hooked into the outside wall and rode on his side they had multiple good angles of it. We had one incomplete view of Lajoie's crash (which he did roll over at the end of) yesterday. Sorry, but they have to do better.
They also missed Larsons flip on the backstretch in 2019 too
@@stevemeador2188 Yeah I remember that too. That one really sucked because it was a crazy wreck.
NBC does better coverage with their highlight reel than FOX does with their TV broadcast. 😂
Hellz naw…NBC is terrible. Burton and Petty have the most annoying voices.
@@81millionhaha_fjbtranslation
Fox=better commentary
NBC=better direction
But do I give a darn?
wah
That thumbnail tho…..😮
Fr tho
So…destroying the car is preferable to a second place finish? 🙄
To quote Stroker Ace and his crew chief Lugs Harvey, “Screw second!”
Its impossible to watch these races live with 5 minute commercial breaks every 10 minutes.
Grow a brain and record the races, then FFWD through the commercials, at your leisure...
That’s one way to lose viewership.
McDowell should have never came down that far. His own fault.
HORRIBLE block, and cost ford everything.
HORRIBLE block, and cost ford everything.
@@stonecoldracing6 Yup at least it was the last lap for the big one.
It was, but it was his only chance, so he had to go for it.
He should be banned for being a dipshit and endangering... That's some serious dumbassery
Reminds me of 2009 season where Edwards tried to block Brad with the same way
Those 2 blocks were about as similar as apples and oranges, as in, Edwards moved up a half lane, maybe 3/4's...
McDowell swerved across the entire track...
McDowell's biggest enemy is himself
Brad Keselowski after the wreck: "I did nothing! The pavement was his enemy!"
4 full screen green flag commercials during 3 wide racing in the first 40 laps. Atrocious
Smooth move McDowell, you fool!!! I think Lajoie got the worst of it, and thankfully his car landed upright in the end there.
way to many commercials
*too
Agreed
It’s easier to watch the livestream than the tv broadcast
McDowell could have settled for second or third, but nope.
The 45 car paint scheme was awesome with the original Air Jordan look. Congrats
Clint getting flashbacks to 2007. 😂
yes
That ticker had Kyle Busch 1st lol
That's what they said on the MRN broadcast
I’m surprised there wasn’t a commercial break during this action. Criminally awful catering to advertisers to the point it’s unwatchable
Heartbreak for this Keselowski fan. Robbed again.
If he doesn't protest this, he has no balls ! He was in first and the yellow came out. The other cars passed him on the caution !
@@fposmith How is that caution going to affect them, when it is 100 yards behind them?
@@fposmith P.S. 0:32 Notice a yellow flag waving or a caution light blinking?
Yes. Getting wrecked except once at Daytona and Talladega over the last several races.
That 45 car looks awesome!
Lajoies flip was similar to Gordon's flip
Hope Brad gets a win this season with the new team
So sad to see our beloved nascar in such dire shambles. Boyer is a disaster, Harvick isn't happy, and no joy for Mike. 😢
Well put!!! Was thinking the same thing!! I miss JR. in the booth!!!!🤦🏽♂️
While watching the race, Reddick clearly won. While watching this replay, many other cars crossed the finish line, then the caution came out. Those cars keep their finishing position. The rest of the field is frozen at the last timing line provided that they continued and crossed the finish line. It took nearly 1/2 hour after the race to get them in the right order. The caution light (bottom of the screen, left side) comes on at 34 seconds into the video.
McDowell is a fucking weapon
Second best wall ride in nascar Corey lajoie lol
Mtj did it better at Charlotte
@@furywanabemonky05 *richmond
chastain at martinsville
I like McDowell, but he blocked one too many times, and took out the field
Same here...like him but that second block was a bonehead move...WAY too far, then he lost it and overcorrected...wrecked a lot of good cars, and ruined Ford's chance of winning on the Mustang's anniversary. Pretty bad
McDowell looked out of control on that second block. Awful.
THATS WHAT 34 GETS FOR BLOCKING HIM 2 TIMES😆
First block was awfully quick and bad. The second one, he was too late and crashed himself as well as others. Bad decisions.
That Cyberfrog car #01 in the ARCA series race looked awesome!
Fox has got some problems with getting a camera in the right spot. Unless it was a blimp shot or a in car camera. What a shame they are doing to this sport. This is one of the races I still try and watch but fox had me loosing interest. Bad job that last lap shows you how short they came in producing this race and with so many commercials it was hard to watch..
Bro is seriously offended by how he watches his favorite sport. Ever heard of watching onboards or listening on the radio? 🤡
That was pretty clean and anticipated, at that area of the track, when the checker is in site
Lol, when you have zero clue on blocking even though you've been racing for a long time. 😂😂
So bro is supposed to let him pass
@cornflake2193 I love how you completely missed the point of him not knowing how to block. 🤣 lmfao
@tylerdurden4006 I love how you completely missed the point that he was about to win🤣 lmfao
@cornflake2193 wtf does that have anything to do with my original comment about him not knowing how to block? Wtf is wrong with you? Now you are changing your own replies and what you said. Stfu and gtfo
@cornflake2193 you do know it my point and not your right? My original comment and not yours? None of my point was about winning, it was about not knowing how to block, how the f**k don't you understand that?
Cory had the best view of the track! 😂
45 saw the opening and took it all the way for the finish!
Props to SVG for getting out of that unscathed, especially since he was in the middle of the pack.
Dude wanted to block driver all the way, he paid the price.
mike joys commentating was phenomenal on the last lap
Congrats Tyler and Michael!!! What a finish!!!!
Can't wait for nascar on NBC to return... This sh**'s ridiculous! How can you see a massive wreck and just keep going to the finish.
blud got his 2nd flip just right now at Michigan
Seriously, how does McDowell keep getting a ride? I wonder what the cumulative total of damage he has caused over the years is..... gotta be $10M+.
The drone pilot filming that should be sacked! Wtf did he fly over the stands at the finish making it impossible to see half the track! Director should have cut to a better view and probably should be sacked too!
Bunch of fools at Fox
And if he flew a little higher he would have had the whole track plus surrounding streets in view rather than being able to see the cars racing the final f*cking lap! Couldn't get much worse than the team producing NASCAR at Fox
Well gosh! Maybe you should send them your resume? You obviously know more about covering professional motorsports than they do!
Are we not going to talk about how many commericals there were
@codymoe lol sorry if they are friends of yours or related to you lol If you see either of those positions vacant let me know and I will submit my showreel. Cheers!
@@matthewfox1561 Yep I was losing my mind with all the commercials.. I'm in Australia and have to stream it through Kayo Sports and I thought it was Kayo causing all the breaks in the broadcast but they were just working with the rubbish fox supplied
NICE VIDEO THANKS EXCITING FINISH. LOVE THE ACTION AND WRECK AT THE END.
"If you're not first, you're last." - Ricky Bobby
Ok.
Should, Not Only, NASCAR On NBC Broadcast The ENTIRE NASCAR Cup Series Season, Rather Than FOX, And Also The ENTIRE NASCAR Xfinity Series Season, On The CW? Yes.
oh the block and around goes the 34!
Desperate measures produce crappy outcomes.
It’s the nature of the beast at Daytona, Talladega, and Atlanta. You can throw one block, but not two
Bumper car demolition derby pack racing finish!
What an exciting race
good job mcdowell
bro my man had insane luck today
That was intense.
If you want to play billiards, it's cheaper at a pool hall than a racetrack.
nbc needs to be the main channel for NASCAR bc fox missed a flip and db missing everything
Looking at the photo for this video its hard to understand how the 41 was scored ahead of both the 4 and the 7 🤷♀️
Because he crossed the finish line ahead of them. Is this your first race?
That’s what you get for blocking. Blocking is bull 💩, a real kitty 🐈⬛ move.
Is it weird that they had reddick 1st in turn 4?
I see the trolls are out in droves today. If you don't like NASCAR, JUST DON'T WATCH!
Going that low with tires that shot is only gonna end up like that, idk what he was thinking, I think his team would’ve rather got 2nd or 3rd place and points than 29th and barely any points
Are you allowed to weave lie that in Nascar?
Most other series your not.
The dopey idiots have an ego to think of you know, goofballs.
Yes, but its absolutely not a good idea, as shown today
Jones hit the wall just like Dale Sr. did!!! 😮
Where's the onboard of the car that went across the finish line on its side!?
I’m just going to put out how they already had Reddick in the lead all the way down the back stretch.
175mph laps at the world's "fastest track" is an embarrassment to the sport.
175? They were in the low 190s for much of the day, even in stage one they were still in the high 180s 💀
@@smunger69They were around 175 towards the end of stage 2. Watch the replay.
@@keithspillman They were all in fuel saving mode for some reason that still doesn't make much sense because they had to pit anyways.
@@keithspillman I noticed multiple laps, by multiple drivers, in the mid 190's...
I also noticed laps in the mid 170's, when everyone was saving fuel...

Learn it, try harder...
@@codymoe4986 So riding around at half throttle in a traffic jam is racing??? Yep...I just learned a LOT. Glad you enjoyed the Talladega bed race!!! Have a great day!!!
The one time ford could have gotten back in the game and that happens
Since 1998 26 years ago bill elliott and dale Earnhardt up on them sides
Gregson bumps Kaselowski into Mcdowell. Kaselowski mentions having been bumped. Maybe Gregson couldn't help it. But without that bump, maybe Mcdowell keeps control for the win. And Ford goes 1. 2.3.
That. Was. Awesome!!!!!Jordan!45
Reddick in the catbird seat.
Does anyone else think this is NOT racing
It is, it's just a different type of racing. It would be nice if was more like the 70s though. Start in a pack and then it spreads out and the best handling cars move through the field.
Was that a question?
What a rediculous way to finish a race. NASCAR loves to see that bunched up pack, beating and banging their way to the wreck at the finish line. That's not competition, that's Gladiator Games! Blood Sports! REDICULOUS !
34 definitely screwed the pooch
And Ricky Bobby steals one!!!! Shake and Bake !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great race
Blocking has ruined NASCAR.
This car has killed racing in the cup series!! That was about the most boring plate race I've seen and then at the end they all just wreck! Whoever came up with this car should be fired along with Steve Phelps and Steve O'Donnell
High downforce, 510 h.p. Superspeedway package....pretty boring to watch. Take away the downforce, give 'em back the 900 h.p. they used to have, and give them back the forgiving side force overhangs so they can hang it out. Gen 7 has no overhangs for side force...combine that with the light switch loss of downforce when the underbody aero goes into yaw, and you have a lot of wrecks
3 wide, numerous lead changes, Larson leading after starting last, but yeah just another boring race I guess.
@@davenorman6717 They never had 900HP at the "plate tracks." That said, I agree with giving them more power and removing some DF at the intermediates. Don't agree witth the side force though because that make it almost impossible to race side by side because the bottom car would lose all the side force and just spin out in the corners. It happened so many times.
The most epic fail of a racecar I have ever seen.
Talladega got a little hungry
Oh wow Lajoie actually rolled
I was at this race live
Isso foi sensacional 😂😂😂
They should start penalizing for triple blocks like that. Thats how Newman almost died.
If you do it yourself and wreck yourself out, isn’t that enough of a penalty? Newman did the same thing McDowell did, it was their own faults, so why penalize them after the fact for it? If McDowell wrecks the field and not himself I’d agree, but that’s kinda a self policing result
@@smunger69 it'll probably take a car in the stands before drivers finally get banned.
@@smunger69 If you really want to penalize them, make them pay for the cars they wrecked !
Looked like Owski threw the race and let Reddick take it once McDowell was eaten by the cannibals.
Keselowski tried to do what he did in 09 when he spun out Carl Edwards. Great Racing just got passed in the end.
Blocking like that is rubbish 🦘💨
Keselowski knows how to block smoothly and safely when he's out front. McDowell does the opposite.
Crash, smash, bash, phony fight, phony drama, rinse and repeat.
NASCAR seriously needs to fix the Superspeedway fuel dilemma. I'm a diehard NASCAR fan back to the early 2000s... and I want to go see Daytona or Talladega... but if NASCAR thinks I'm paying thousands of dollars when it's all said and done to go watch the drivers roll around at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle all day they have another thing coming.
Even if they change the stages to try and get rid of it, somehow it will still come up organically. That just seems to be the way those things go. I actually have no idea why they were even saving because they couldn't make it anyways. Same thing happened at Daytona.
They would do something similar during the race too. It's nothing new. If you recall, they used to all get in line and ride around the top for 3/4 of the race. One way or the other, they'll ride around in a line or 3/4 throttle (which they do back in the pack anways) for some long stretch of time.
