This'll sound cliche but I don't give a damn. I had a hard time dealing with depression last year and a friend of mine recommended Parcels to me. These guys' music helped me make it through this disease. Also, 4 months ago I broke up with the love of my life and there I was, listening to their songs over and over. When they released this one I was having a terrible day because I couldn't stop thinking about her. The lyrics and the melody hit me like a punch to the stomach. I instantly started to dance to it as if there was nothing else to worry about in life.
Now here I am, had a bad day again (still thinking of her) and decided to listen to this song. It's been on repeat for 20 minutes now. I just keep coming back for more and more :)

This band is simply amazing. The way they play 70'soul music with a touch of dance thumping bass hooks would make Nile Rodgers beam. Been a fan since their first album and glad to see fans are clamoring around them. Truly anticipating a new album. You guys are the new Jamiroquai minus the Buffalo hat....lol
They're like a miraculous combination of Jamiroquai, Breakbot, Justice and Daft Punk
Saw Nile live in late 2019 with CHIC just before covid hit and Frank Moody were supporting, the funkiest night of my life. Nile would be a huge Parcels fan for sure
They are a brilliant band. If you are into this sort of sound check out British groups ‘Mama’s Gun’ and ‘Young Gun Silver Fox’ who are also fab.
What I like about Parcels is the element of surprise. You think they'll be heading one way in musical style and BAM! - something different with the next song or album. Love the vocal harmonies (as always!). Did anyone think of Steely Dan when hearing this song?

It reminds of Led Zep 3 when they took a hiatus and made some of the best acoustic sounds of the decade. Didn't know they had it in the repertoire, but it's now a top five song.

Such a wonderful, musically tight group of individuals that you can tell love what they are doing. An absolute breath of fresh air in all of the noise pollution we have these days.

Lots of music is based on precedent. Odds are, you’ve heard a song very similar to this one and just can’t connect the dots to the other title. I’m not invalidating you, the talented musicians at parcels, or being negative whatsoever by saying this. There’s only so many chord progressions available and many have been repeated over the decades because they sound good, are fun to play, work with repetitive lyrics, etc.

it’s literally been out for a few days and this song is already one of my faves in their discography. It’s so freeing, euphoric, and uplifting. such a feel good song.
