      super weak ballistics, at least its extremely quiet. If gamo had gotten this thing to operate closer to 800fps id probably get one , 650 is just too slow, may as well shoot a break barrel or pump or modified CO2 gun at that point

    you should try shooting 50 yards here in the UK most of us have to shoot sub 12lbs , in reality around 11 to 11.5 . as that is the law we embrace it and take it as a challenge :)

    all of the 700s went low i think the wind was a downward tailwind with the 15.89s that would explain why all were lower on target than the 684fps velocities

    Enjoyed the video, real time results in real world conditions 👍
    A couple of thoughts, folks buying a $220-ish PCP probably aren't buying/using JSB's...;) Also, it was rumored that the gen1 mags didn't play nice with "soft pellets", as in bent skirts and etc.. I wouldn't know, all of mine shot el cheapo Crosman pellets well (but they're "harder" as far as pellets go).
    Anyways, great video!

      Hey there. I’ve done some work already with this using other pellets. I specifically wanted to see what the best pellets would do. The CPHP shot “not great” out of this gun. Up close the RedFire pellets are petty awesome. We’ll be doing more testing and videos and will show various pellets so folks know what works and what doesn’t. Thanks for watching.

      Idk about that. I enjoy cheaper PCPs as well and I’ll still shoot higher end pellets. I’ve noticed a lot of Gamos seem to like H&N Field Target Trophy pellets. A lot!

    • @ElZackomoko
      @ElZackomoko Před 2 lety +1

      @@chrisreilly4006 I'll have to try out some FTT's through my Gamo's. Guess I've been lucky that they (the few Gamo's I own) like .22cal CPHP's/Domes enough to stick with them :) I will say, in .177 the FTT's are my go to pellet for AG's making ~15fpe or less. I do like JSB/Air Arms pellets in .22 (15.9/18gr) but do reserve them for specific guns as higher volume shooting/plinking gets kind of pricey with them (especially these days).

      @ElZackomoko Před 2 lety +1

      @@AirGunWeb Just want to add, you guys and gals are doing great. Knowing you have limited time with each airgun that passes through and needing to do initial testing, taking notes, dialing in, then recording and editing footage is exhausting to just think about. Never mind responding to various peoples replies here and on the forums, I'd go mad, Haha. Tons of work goes into these videos, but they're truly appreciated. Keep doing what you're doing, because it's working. A big thanks to all who are involved.

      @@ElZackomoko All I shoot out of my old Hatsan 135 I got for $200 on sale is the .25 cal JSB pellets since those were the most accurate. Of course I bought a bunch of them when they were cheaper than I've seen them lately. These gamo arrow pcp's look like a good value but apparently they're all sold out so I'll see how many of them break before they're back in stock

    hey there, lovely vid. i am the proud owner of a gamo HPA mi IGT in 177 and changed the normal scrow on the cat trigger from the basic to a 10.25mm(yes i was accurate) it now has a pull of about 200grams(metric).....i tested it thuroughly(spelled right?) so no accidental misfires.... Im just wondering, did you do any triggeradjustiing on either one of these weapons?
    once again, awesome vid, i also think about buying the arrow. btw i shoot jsb 4.51mm exacts, they do wonders at 10 meters 30feet

    Ok great video but you have a wobbling table top a crosswind and in those conditions its not the gun or the ammo the pellets are blowing all over the place a mil. spec scope with manual adjusting turrets would put right in there in seconds even at 50 yards and they are very affordable. take care and god bless love the channel.

    Eh i got this gun my mistake, was looking at the Urban and got them confused .. i mean its a nice gun but i have and love the Magnum break barrel so power wise its a down grade. I shoot out my Apt Window at a target setup up in a tree. Its about 35 yards out. First 10 shots are dead center. 2nd mag i need to hold over about 1 md. The issue i have is when i load the 3rd mag, not only do i need to hold it over 2 md’s but it randomly goes off either to the left or right. Ive been dumping two mags and re filling with my hand pump. Eh not sure what i want to do.. sucks balls commie book /CL wont allow sales on air guns. Pretty much stuck with them. F it.. ill play with this for a bit and spring for a Leshiy 2 😂

  • @gabepettinicchio7454
    @gabepettinicchio7454 Před 2 lety

    Does the ground heat that is showing its heat waves affect the pellet at all? That ground from gun to target has to be much, much hotter than the air tmp. The hot air from the ground rises ... does it cause enough turbulence to throw the pellet off?

    • @Bob_Adkins
      @Bob_Adkins Před 2 lety +1

      There's very little speed/energy/pressure difference in that rising air, so probably not anything you would notice.

    • @cloudbase7799
      @cloudbase7799 Před rokem

      I don't know about the affect of rising air, but hot air is less dense than cold air. Cold/denser air results in increased drag and a slower projectile. For the same gun zeroed in cold temperatures, when fired in hot temperatures (all other variables remaining the same), projectiles will tend to strike high.

    I've not ran any JSB through my Arrow and don't think I'll bother after seeing this. I do run Gamo Rockets and Crossman Copper Magnums in it and either will tear the center out of the target @ 50 yards all day long. So I have to disagree, it is very much a 50 yard gun.
    My .25 Avenger loves that JSB ammo though. But that's another whole ball of wax.

    650 fps with a 18.13gr making about 17.5 FPE. Not very powerful for a .22 pcp but its one of the cheapest out there. Coming from a 12FPE breakbarrel springer, i don't think this is a compelling enough upgrade.

    I was interested in the gun until I saw it shoots 650 with 18gr pellet......just not enough juice to justify the squeeze. My lowest power IGT Gamo break barrels shoot 650 and I live at 6000' altitude , so its like what's the point of the arrow? my Hatsan bt65sb .25 makes 50-55FPE so messing with this dinky 14-16FPE Gamo PCP rifle just doesn't add up
