- This is Nick, our Indian Greater Hill Mynah who'll be a year old in March. Here he's eating blueberries, sweet potato, cherries, crickets, and a pinky mouse. The sweet potato, crickets, and pinky mice are only given as treats, and not as a diet staple. He's a very enthusiastic eater. Nick was bred and born in the U.S. and was handfed from a young age.
Hes enjoying that
Aww it's slippery there, how adorable!
The floor is not slippery. the lil mynah can't stand still on the floor that's why.
Brasil bonito o passarinho
Actually the Greater Indian Hill Mynah is Gracula religiosa intermedia. Gracula religiosa religiosa is the Javan Hill Mynah. Wikipedia has a great distribution map that shows the species with their different yellow markings and their distributions. The Javan Hill Mynah was also imported before it was banned but in smaller numbers than the Indian.
i like how he sort of slip/falls
my bird likes jelly bc its sweet
So cute! We actually got two mynha birda
lol doing the splits 😄
These birds were found in the forest in large qantities but now a days has became a rare bird
He eats everything
Please tell meh what u fed him there at 1:13.Is it sweet potato?
I love when his feet are loosing grip on the table while eating from the spoon. It's almost like he's skating! :D That bird is a pig! It just eats and eats and eats. I have a snake like that. heee heee
U r so lucky that your bird eat all things , I have a pair they only eats bread , cerelac with milk. I regularly give them different type of fruits they don't touch.
what they eating??
That‘s a beo
so cute!!!!!
Well it doesn't make much sense for the Javan Hill Mynah (religiosa religiosa) to be called the Greater Indian Hill Mynah because it doesn't live close to India. I believe the three species that used to be imported were religiosa intermedia, indica, and religiosa religiosa. They are widely known as the Greater Indian Hill, the Lesser Indian Hill, and the Javan Hill. The other subspecies found in India is religiosa peninsularis which is also called the Greater Indian Hill.
I had 4 indian hill mynahs baby, but unfortunately one of them flight away, did u cut urs feather? Now i have 3 mynahs, but i am scared to lose them as they waits for chances to fly. What to do. Should i cut their high flying feathers.
keep them in a big cage . but don't cut their feathers. its cruel .
@@mudra22lop Yes! Trim their flight feathers. Definitely. Then they can have free range of the house and won't kill themselves by flying into windows or glass doors. Lots of good info online for how to trim the flight feathers.

Mynah eat fruit like papaya, plantain, blueberries. We also give softbill pellets and one or two insects each day.

waiting to get my myna bird :) its a great bird if petted properly
sheerkhan8 they HATE being handled, very weird bird, even if you hand feed them, unless they are imprinted on you, no deal.
I saw the same map but used a reference book which said that Religiosa Intermedia is the Intermediate Indian Hill Mynah, Religiosa Religiosa is the Greater Indian Hill Mynah and Religiosa Indica is the Lesser Indian Hill Mynah.
@kettavan600028 You can't make them talk. They learn naturally over time by listening to people.
We have 2 that visit us in our backyard..I want to train at least one to talk but I'm not sure if it's possible.. because they're wild (technically introduced, I'm in Australia .. although we have the NOISY mynah which IS native).. Another thing is they're adults so Idk if it's too late. I keep repeating "hello" hoping the more confident/ curious one will pick it up. That one got so curious he was helping himself into the house however I chased him out and ignored him for I think a day or 2 and he learned very quickly not to come in. If it was my place I'd like it overall until it got too much if they were pooing inside lol.
What do they I won't one 🤗👌✌️
maybe but I don't know
What r her food?
