Those aren't mudflaps. They are designed to channel airflow to improve efficiency, as well as provide some extra protection from small rocks, etc.

Those are to direct airflow around the tires.

Awesome video. I removed mine about a week before seeing this video. It was all for looks for me too. I think it looks much better without them there. I also removed the rear ones in front of the rear tires. Didn't need to, but just think it makes it look more aggressive. Really enjoining your videos on the Maverick. I have really been loving my Maverick and it seems like you are too. Keep up the great work guys.
