Are you still playing Red Dead Online? Thanks for watching!
Ive played it back in the release days and then never touched it again. Is it worth getting again and complete the Story? I was at maybe 20% back then
And ofc very greatful for all of your Videos! Big fan of the GTA content. 🤘🏼
I think it’s an amazing game. But it lacked direction. And like you said, being able to buy land, run farms, buy businesses would have kept me playing. I plan to go back soon to catch up on things. But it would have been nice to see this game continue to evolve, as it had the foundation for it already. Thank you for the content!
I’m playing it and I love it. Glad most glitches are fixed like the annoying stable glitch. I just wish rockstar cared about the game and gave us interesting content to try out. Doubt we’ll get anything new and who knows if rdr3 will even be a thing if they’re just going to do the same thing again to it like they did to this game. Hopefully they fix it in the future.
I started playing a few months ago to take a break from Fallout 76. I enjoy many things about it, but the main thing I don't like is the griefing and vibe of fear among players. Coming near another player can quite often get me killed. RDO could learn a lot from the Fallout community.
Nothing screams wasted-potential more than RDO. It’s so frustrating how Rockstar abandoned RDR2 so quickly.
They wanted to devote all their resources into figuring out how to scam even harder via GTAO

You pretty much nailed it with this one. RDO has got to be the biggest video game fumble of all time, considering all the potential it had and the beautiful world they've created. It was/is enjoyed by probably the most diverse array of players any game has ever had.
Forget the Drake vs Kendrick beef. We’re here for the Hazard vs Rockstart beef

RDO got me through the tough days of the pandemic and I made gamer friends from around the country and world. I also played the heck out of it with my son when we were both new to the game and it was so much fun back then when the world was big, unknown and full of virtual adventures.
My guess is that Rockstar saw that RDO has a much more opportunities and potentials then GTA Online, and they did not want to create a competitor. It's pretty easy to grind some money and gold and buy anything you want in RDO, but with GTA, the shark card system generates a ton of money for R Star. That's what I think. But I am still optimistic regarding RDO, since R Star fixed many issues recently and doing some good changes in the game by fixing the stable glitch and wagon glitches
Ye but fixing a glitch doesn’t mean that they are going to revive the game. We must all realise The sad truth.😔
@@BillEats Like I said man, I am hoping for the best
Don't let Griftstar off the hook so easily.
nah rdo just didn't become the infinite money glitch that gtao is
It's a good theory but why would it become a competitor?
Rockstar owns both games meaning they get money from both and since the gold bars are kinda the same system as shark cards wouldn't it just make even more money for them?
It's sad they abandoned the game cause it had a lot of potential.
I've been back into it lately, just been doing bounties and collecting tarot cards and other collectibles I randomly come across. There isn't much content but it's so nice to not have griefers, I've come by so many friendly players.
Solid video, bro. I started playing on day one but stopped after a few weeks because there was nothing to do. I started playing again about 16 months ago and I love it. I play almost every day. 👍🤠
Thank you for making this video. It needs to be said.
Nerfing daily challenges in 2020 was the beginning of the end. So many people lost the incentive to play and I would be surprised if there was a massive drop in average daily players during that time.
Nah homie. Literally their very first update, making the radar and map proximity based was the biggest issue from the start. The only thing keeping people playing was the daily challenges. Had that not been in the game, the game would have been dead just from that. The other main issue with the game was having duo economy, they couldn’t capitalize like gta does because of the fact that everyone earned so much gold from daily challenges that it wasn’t worth buying gold. If they had made everything cost a single money type and had made gold rewards what they nerfed it to from the start, would have been a lot less problems and they would have profited off the game.
i cant even stay a minute online without bump into random 'god mode' players lately..kinda sad and annoying..

Nothing kills the community more than lack of support from its creators. Once I saw that coming, I left the game for good. Even tho I was 100% willing to still be playing this game today. By far the most beautiful Rockstar game in existence right now and it was completely abandoned ... I'll never understand why.
It was easier to monetize gta online using less resources thus maximizing profits, they didn't want to build rdo because that would take resources and man power, where as they could just stick with gta online and the momentum it has/had.
Rdo is one of the biggest cases of wasted potential I've seen in gaming
there's an error called 0x21002001, that occurs with rockstar servers, and basically it says you lost conection every 10 min or when you join a mission, and the only resolution that i found is to change your internet provider, i tried everything in the that rockstar says in their suport and it didn't work, and it's sad because i've found out that this happens with a lot of people.
at this time i just gave up playing RDO.
I just started playing RDO about 2 weeks ago and I definitely understand the players passion behind it.
This video gave me insight on how far it's come but also what it COULD have been.

Welcome to the game
Welcome to Red Dead ☠️ outlaw
Red Dead Online is probably one of my most favorite games of all time. I love everything about it and especially the horse animations. No game has as nice animations as RDO. I started playing pretty late, early 2021, so almost right before it fell off the cliff because nobody from R* gave a damn heck about this game. And its so sad. I still love it, love exploring and still finding new things I've never seen before, but I wish there was more. To keep us going for the next years...
I havent played online for about a year but I am now playing my 4th story play thru. I keep hoping that rockstar won't let it die completely and give it some love like gta (which I hate). Great video!
Great setup in the intro, I would like to add, as an avid player of RDR 1 online mode, I was definitely taken back by the lack of gambling games, I really wanted to play liars dice agian! and a few other features, and that online was far more “hollow” then RDRO was, kind of GTAIV online vs GTAO
Stopped playing it on 2022 😢
Still is one of my favorite games of all time
106 days in gameplay since Red Dead Online came out, lot's of good memories in this game
Loved the story mode, loved Arthur and the gang I remember crying the first time when Arthur dies in the game

I started playing red dead online with a friend of mine back in November 2022. He was an experienced player and I was new so I ended up rushing through the whole thing trying to rank up as fast as possible for the best things so I could compete. Spamming Etta doyle etc (I never even played horleys first mission in black water)
But I recently reset my character. I’m going thru it all again. Playing the story. Playing each legendary bounty. Taking my time and just enjoying the experience and the world. There’s so many things that I didn’t even recognise about the game such as each stranger getting a name once you visit them. And the fact that you can ride a Kayak. That blew my mind I was like.:. Since when? 😂 So many places in the world where I hadn’t even been until recently such as the tunnel on the train tracks north of ambarino. Or the cave near annesburg.
I always enjoy your videos, I still play rdro not daily but I hop on when I feel like taking a ride through the landscape. I guess I’ll never give up hope for this game.
I’ve been waiting for this video a long time
Its a damn shame
Surprising I'm still playing it daily with all its weirdness... flames shooting out of people and animals, getting disconnected while in a mission, or getting respawned with a bunch of other players for no good reason and super soldier cheaters.
At this point, I consider all of it as game features. It's sometimes fun to roll with it. Other times frustrating, but not for long
@@renoobed-owl7590 Today was in Saint Denis and the whole block was on fire! Burnt multi floor building to a crips. Look like the Great Chicago fires.
You forget to mention what REALLY killed it, GTA 6 is what killed it. If you are reading this and you were one of those people who constantly commented on every Rockstar post about GTA 6 then YOU'RE the reason this games online died.
This video is so well made! keep it up!!!!
Whoever spent real money on gold bars, is a sucker. This game online should of been just as big as GTA. Big miss.
I still play, can't see myself ever truly leaving it behind. Still frustrating to see the lack of care from Rockstar.
Red dead online is the reason why me and my eldest cousin became so close, but he stopped playing it like a year ago due of the god mode griefers and the off radar players he encountered, including how toxic the red dead community is. He used to like rockstar, but after what the company had become he given his hopes up. He suddenly tried some FromSoftware games and to be honest he’s really getting into those souls games even to this day. Aside from that I really miss playing red dead online with him.
I remember getting so excited for RDRO. My friends and I got online, we invested in the skinning thing, went hunting during a huge storm, loaded up our horses with as much of our game as we could and proudly headed back towards camp. Then we all had a connection error and disconnected. When we returned everything we had caught (including several 3 star animals) were gone. We tried again, still having fun hunting together and riding around the countryside. Another connection error. We never played again after that. It felt awful to have the same experience we had on GTAO for years in a new game. Everything was too expensive besides... couldn't run amok in local towns, couldn't hold up trains, couldn't hold up shops. There was no outlaw rp to be had, just pre-fabricated missions and mini games with low payouts. Such a bloody shame.
i still play RDO every day if i can and i'll keep playing until they turn the server off
it blows my mind that rockstar has things that players want like limited time clothing and outlaw/quick draw passes they could release with the push of a button but they won't do it
I'm exactly the same in every aspect of your comment, so obviously, well said
Well yall lucky cuz it's p2p servers so they won't shut down...u can still play rdo 1
Our only hope is RDR3 has a better online mode in like 15-20 years
With how much space there was in red deads world, i always wanted to see them do something like fallout 76, where you could basically build yourself your own little town, and manage the saloon, stable, gun store, etc...
I maxed out my camp and my moonshine shack a year ago. Love the sound of the horses, and hunting features. But I haven't played in 9 months. The PURCHASE options are not good. Buying clothes just ain't no fun
This Game had so much potential just to be abandoned 😢
They accept the gold glitch since over 1 year now. Thats how less they care about rdo. Bury y'alls hope for old passes back or anything
Absolutely still playing...one of the best games ever created in my opinion..a shame that Rockstar abandoned it/us how they did..

!!! it’s just a shame that Rockstars is doing this… I just now started this game about six months ago after finding it a couple of years ago.. I knew I was gonna get back into it, but once I got back into it and realized how dead it was, I’m really really disappointed ..I finally found a game I liked other than World of Warcraft… an MMO where I actually enjoy the PVP.. i’m heartbroken over really…

I started playing again last month, i'm playing the game at least for a daily challenge, but have been doing role progressions, telegram missions and legendary bounties. This months role x2 xp and payouts are amazing, most likely preparing for upcoming content
used to play RDO while it was getting updates. I kept playing until 2023 hoping Rockstar was being just super secretive.

The online story is decent but clearly unfinished, and you will have a hard time experiencing the dedicated pvp showdown modes probably, some of them were really fun. There's roles and stuff, and they are fun, but after that you better have a good imagination because there's not much content after that. I prefer playing the single player when I want my fix of red dead
Welcome to Red Dead ☠️ outlaw
Honestly the only thing that turns me off from this game is the players. I just started playing Red Dead Online and nearly every time I get on I end up being constantly chased down by high level players that seem to only get enjoyment by killing others people's fun. Is there a way to join lobbies for low level players?
Add me! Lmk and I'll send my ps tag.
Personally never messed around with low level players and I’m nearly 685. Why anyone would get enjoyment out of farming low level characters is beyond me. Stopped playing in 2022, but yeah, had a few run in’s with toxic high level players that would follow you lobby to lobby by interacting with a wagon sale or bounty mission, after that only way to avoid them is to block them and put your whole account on private. Otherwise they can keep joining on you from recents. And I’m sure thats still in the game.
Great watch as always ❤
I really want to implement a leather coat, poncho, cross bandolier, navy revolver, and horse offline. Maybe it's just greed, but I can't help but wonder why they don't do it.

I love this game soo much... I beat it in one day and a few hours. I spent sooo much time on here especially online. I played it since the beta
Was one of the best games ever. Way better then gta could ever be. Every so often I find myself in RDO just to chill
Im love RDO , and i think it had very big potential, but the community was a bit toxic towards the company, so much crying about anything R* do for money
R* is a company that run business, and cash is all what matter for them ... they are not charity to invest so much money in a game where the players simply don't wanna pay for .
Gold and cash were so easy to grind in my opinion. Not talking about the easy glitches that were multiplying peoples cash and gold without effort
The game has it's own engine and it's so hard and expensive to develop , and the income was simply less than the outcome .
Above all of that .. the players just complain and cry .
I blame both the players and the company. And that's very sad cuz i just love this game .

Great news as I’ve never been able to get past the first clay davies mission without disconnecting. Even tried it on a brand new computer and still disconnected. Don’t know how it would be very populated if people can’t even get started .
2 things that would have boosted moral and stopped alot drama, would have been
1. When in defensive mode, can't be shot/assaulted/tied by another player NOR can you do those things to another player while in that mode.
2. Not have tied up the freaking horse masks with an outlaw pass with another company. I'm assuming they wouldn't even release those occasionally with monthly updated bc of legalities due to that deal with that company.
Trump 2024!!! 🇺🇸

I definitely still play the game almost daily. There is no other game like rdr and I love the game way to much to abandon it
I enjoy playing RDO with my dad and step brother often. It's really sad knowing that there won't be any future content. I wish Rockstar would just sell the rights to another company to continue online support and add additional expansions, roles, clothing, etc
i Still play Red Dead Online with friends from time to time, but it dies out realy quicly and thats a shame.........
I do still play rdo from time to time but not as much as I used to. I am hoping that rockstar does add player properties that we can buy and decorated in some way. But I also think that one way to help with the online more they could change the time it's set put it basically more between red dead redemption 2 and 1. This would be a good way to "update " the world map more by possibly adding Mexico and Guarma.
You should do a video on how the title update broke game again. So many beta and later bugs back.
Horses not coming or stopping far away, not despawning when log out.
Horses 3 feet above hitching post.
Agressive NPCs, and turning into you.
Many more I have found, over 3 accounts between myself and my roomate. (Different consoles and (“cache cleared”) matchmaking issues as well.
Rockstar has been handed the formula to keep RDO alive on a silver platter. If they added just one new thing it would virtually double their player base. I’ve seen the lobbies fill up with even a rumor of a new update.
I played not long ago. Logged into the first session after not playing for over 2 years. Got blown up by a hacker constantly, waited about 5 mins to see if it would stop. Nope, never stopped. Just constant explosions launching you across the map. Got off, haven't been on since.
Heartbreaking journey for such an incredible game. I still play but not as I once did. While other developers are dropping DLC's right and left, this game, my favourite of all games, is dead in the water. Very sad. There was so much potential - so many ways to keep this going. And even more sad is that I would pay for DLC content .. and am begging them to take my money LOL ... I think the worst of it is that no matter how loudly we yell for their attention, RS games ignore us. A kick in the teeth to all of us for all of our loyalty. Sometimes I wish some other developer would buy the franchise and make it into something we all know and believe it could be. In any case, thank you Haz for your continued dedication and for keeping us inspired to still play. I think it may be time to play the story again .. or create a new online character to experience all of the online content from scratch. Maybe I will play evil this time .. LOL
Y’know I get why there are people who kill any player they see. After the disappointment becomes acceptance, what else would you be left to do?
I started playing in late 2023. I still play today. There are always players online and it’s still got a very active fan base. I’m so grateful as they are keeping it alive.
I’m incredibly grateful for this game and still play it daily. What’s been your favorite thing to do since you jumped in? The more people that continue to play are absolutely helping keep it alive which is awesome
It's just like an old 2010s game with great story and a multi-player a few play, I call this a true classic
Back in 2020 I played RDO with two of my best friends almost daily, doing missions, bounties, those team shootouts, or we just screwed around doing random stuff. But as time went on, and nothing new happened in the game, we just stopped playing. Still - the best time I've had with a game online. It's a shame that R* does not realize the potential.
I love this game. I have played the story line multiple times. The real adventure is online. The power balance between players is kept in check with rep and fear of bounties. Rockstar needs to step it up and start adding . Fans of this game are loyal , the true ones. Make RDRO great again. 😊
Me and my friend used to grind rdo everyday, stopped playing after blood money just cuz of how dead the game became. We’ve moved over to redm and it feels like everything rdo could’ve been
I still play although it's getting harder to. I'm lvl 486 and grinding to 500. I don't know what I'll do after that. I'm a solo player mostly and there just isn't anything to do. Add to that how annoying it is to get griefed by some random who's either new to the game or just as bored as I am. It's very sad, I love the game and it could have been so good. 😢
yeah im over 700 as a solo player..left the game in april of 21 with over 9k hrs and 1200 days straight..even took my ps4 on vacay to keep my daily streak alive and it was at 544 plus when they started resetting streaks..i did love the game but ive almost bought ll the clothes and its kinda boring bopping around with nothing to do..pvp sucks in rdr2 so i dont do tha
I like how at the start your character was told they could start a business with the horses and it never happened
Great analysis bro! I still play, RDR2 ruined me for other games (including GTA). Different strokez for different folks I guess 🤷♂️
i only get online on christmas time to play in the snow and that's about it. i tried so hard to keep playing, but it's hard when trying to keep finding things to do.
Let's not forget the hacker/cheater infestation that happened with RDO AND GTA Online that never gets addressed. For my friends and I, THAT was the main reason we stopped playing, not the content issues. We loved it for what it was, and while that other content would have been nice, it wasn't a deal breaker. We've only recently picked the game back up again because we heard about a mod to the game that lets you do private lobbies, so we no longer had to worry about some cheater blowing you up out of nowhere during a delivery mission, to the point where it's even difficult to disconnect from the session.
