I am very grateful to you for making this awesome video about Patagonia
Thanks, Patagonia is such a spectacular place so this video was a lot of fun to put together!
When you described the absolute superiority of the bicycle as a vehicle you literally quoted what I said so many times. And when you talked about the simplicity of bikepacking and absolute freedom I could relate so much. Might sound weird, but you and I share similar souls. Save travels my friend. I envy that you do full time what I enjoy most in life.
Thanks for the kind words, I hope all's good with you as well!
This episode remembers a lof of the trial of Johan Georgiev!
You allare very strong to make such adventure! 👍
Thank you!
A very nice video, a perfect story. Tristan you are a genius. that's wonderful.
Awesome video man, great narration! I just watched your Jordan Trail video yesterday. Liked and subscribed!
Thanks mate, I just watched your latest one too - all these bikepacking videos are really making me miss the road!
A truly wonderful video and your words convey the beauty of why cycle touring / bikepacking is like a drug. The sense of abstraction from normality is liberating.
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed watching it 👍
Let’s hope this bloody Covid charade ends soon as we all want to get back on our cycle travels again.
My god that looks amazing
Awesome content, worth a lot more likes! I never thought of bikepacking before this.
Thank you!
Awesome video. Please keep it up.
Stunning video!! Thank you 🖒😊
Great videos. Getting even better with each episode. Looking forward to seeing more.
Love your videos!! I'm on my way to begin the journey with my bike, you inspired me a lot thank you!!! :)
Wow!! I hope to ride here one day! Looks like an incredible trip :) Great video!
Great narratory!
Sweet, man!
Whoooohooooooo!
I like ❤
Inspiring journey and nice message. I would like to know more about your bike!
All the info is on my website if you'd like to take a look: www.tristanridley.com/gear :)
I absolutely love seeing what was once civilization rot back in to the ground. If I could, I would come back in three hundred years, after the "event" we all know is coming that will greatly reduce our numbers. I would very much like to see the hulking cities returning to the Maker. Outstanding video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words, and I'm 100% with you on the ruins appreciation. There's something so evocative about exploring areas that used to support life but which have been abandoned and left to return to nature!
Nice details on your website. 28 kg packed bike weight, must be challenging to pack enough calories in food supply.
Thanks :) it's been fine actually, the most I've had to carry was just under 3 weeks of food (Patagonia, Nana O'Higgins), which did require a bit of tetris packing, but most of the time I don't have to carry food for more than 2-4 days, which is quite easy. When I'm on the road I do eat pretty boring food though!
Thank you! Better than 🇪🇹
This video sums up just about everything I love about bike packing in the wilderness. Beautifully shot and narrated. What bike do you use, not that it's the most important question?
Sorry for the super late reply, I missed this! I ride a Surly ECR, 29+. Full bike info and gear list is on my website at www.tristanridley.com/gear
@@tristanrid Many thanks. Have a good journey wherever you are.
Good film ! Was wondering have you got footage from Africa ? Now we are all locked down again with plenty time to edit how about a film of your journey across Africa that would be great 👍
I unfortunately lost quite a lot of footage from East Africa due to a corrupted SD card, but stay tuned - a new video showcasing Kenya will be coming in the next few months!
@@tristanrid thats a real shame you lost that footage. A film on Kenya now thats something to look forward to might lift my depression a bit in this never ending misery of lockdown !
Lol Im still waiting for that promised Kenya film 🤣🤣🤣
I would remove everything off the bike before caring it across a river.
Yeah for deeper/stronger rivers I do as well, that one wasn't dangerous so I wasn't too worried!
@@tristanrid that's good.
what is this bike?!?!
Tout Terrain Outback Xplore, if you'd like more info on it, have a look at www.tristanridley.com/post/outback
