- How to join the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA)
Step by step guide!!!
1. Check if you are qualified!!!
Yes! That is the most important step. It is but common that some applicants have already started processing to take the exam and later were surprised to learn that they are in fact not qualified!

2. Apply to take the PNPA CAT*
If you have already checked and found out that you are qualified, then the next step is to process your application. There are two ways to apply. That is through:
a.) paper application form and
b.) online application.

*Just a gentle reminder, this application process is only for you to be included in the partial list of examinees who will take the PNPA CAT (Cadet Admission Test).
**the dead line of submission of application is normally the 30th of september each year, While the examination date is normally the last sundays of October
3. Take the admission exam.
It is common for each applicant to receive a notice of examination sent by the PNPA registrar. Without such document, you will not be allowed to take the exams.
However, there are several cases that the applicants did not receive their notices.
Some only knew about it too late that they were not able to take the exams.
To avoid this and if you are sure that you have sent your application on time, you may still proceed to the designated testcenter of you region or where you applied and look for the chairman of the examination board and verify if your name is included in the final list of applicants.
examination period usually starts 7.30am, however, be early as the cadet-proctors will do some basic test such as height and weight measurement to eliminate early on those who are disqualified.

**after the exam, wait for the results. This is normally released on the 3rd to 4th week of november. The list of successful examinees is posted in the PNPA Website, facebook pages and in this webblog.
4. Take the neuro exam.
Once the result of cadet admission test is out and you passed it, your next step is to take the neuro-psychological exam. Previous exams are done regionally, however, new policies have been established, and the new cadets of PNPA class 2019 who were receptioned last may 1, 2015 had their neuro exam conducted at PNPA Camp Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.

5. Proceed to the medical, dental, agility, other tests.
Passing the neuro exam is already a big deal but don't celebrate yet! The next step would be to pass these various exams. Medical, dental, agility-physical exam will be conducted by the the PNP health service and as i have mentioned in the previous step, it was conducted at the PNPA grounds for the last batch this year.
Ensure you have taken some serious preparations physically, mentally and in medical-dental aspects.

this is supposed to be a civilian training academy as opposed to a military one. why did pnpa adopts most of the system in PMA? no wonder most police dont think that police is a civilian agency.

Para rin palang PMA ang sistema nila sa PNPA. Ani Gen. Rufo De Veyra: 'You remove what is not expected of you, as a police officer, and then, build on what is expected of you. That is precisely why we have a fourthclass system'. Iniba ko lamang po ang ibang salita rito. Si Gen. De Veyra po ay Superintendent ng Philippine Military Academy. Somehow, may pagkakahalintulad din ang pagsasanay ng mga kadete sa PMA at PNPA.
wag nyu po ihalintulad mga graduates ng PNPA sa normal na pulis.. iniisip nyu ang mga pulis n normal eh..pero PNPA po mga official toh pag graduates..sobrang layo ng disiplina d2..4 yrs toh ndi 6 months...

oo pre pero sa una lang yan pnpa pmma pma parang pare pareho langyan pero pinaka mahirap ay pmma at pma sa pmma kaylangan mo batong katawan kung hindi di ka tatagal doon
dpat talaga ung deserving lng ang mga nagaaral dito para hndi masayang ang buwis na binabayad ng mga tao para protektahan ng tayo ng mga otoridad! balang araw magiging isa ako sa mga magagaling na cadete rito, at magiging pulis balang araw ^_^ i salute uniformed personnel na graduate dito sa pnpa talagang disiplinado ang lalabas dito.

+Miller Luzong PNPA graduates are government scholars, with montly stipends.. Once they graduate, they are confered Bachelor of Science in Public Safety or BSPS.. They are the cream of the crop, considering that out of 35k applicants, only the Top 300 will be included in the batch. Once they graduate, they are automatically commissioned as Inspectors or Lieutenant. They can choose their line of service, whether they will join PNP, BFP or BJMP... They will study inhouse as cadets at PNPA Camp Castañeda for 4 years where their studies will also undergo trainings. The concept is similar to PMA.. While the BS Crim is a course offered in colleges/universities. Their studies is just like any other courses in colleges. When they graduate, they will take the licensure exam administered by PRC... Once they passed the exam, they may apply at PNP, BJMP and BFP.. Non board passers may also take napolcom po1 exam. If they pass these, they will undergo series of exams, afterwhich, they will undergo 6months of training and 6months of Field training program... Then, they will be enter the PNP as Non commissioned officers with the rank of PO1, the lowest rank in the PNP...
Hello po admin..tanung ko lang po kung make credit po ba yung professional license ko ng RME kung mag aaply ako sa PNPA.. BSEE graduate po ako.. kaso 26 na po ako..possible po kaya na matatanggap pa ako

Since the advent of the anti-hazing law, the Academy has been very serious in imposing the law and preventing maltreatment of cadets. there are several mechanism of checks being imposed inside the academy that would limit another cadet from conducting hazing. first of which is values education programs . second is the surprise Medical/body checks. any hematoma, gashes, other injuries found will be reported and squad leaders will be held accountable. hazing case is always a followed by dismissal of the senior cadets who have a direct supervision over the victim cadets. as such, your squadleaders, upperclassmen would surely look over you to ensure that nothing will happen to you. or else their own cadetship and officership is at stake. (former cadet, now an officer)

Isa lng po ang Training samga binubuno ng ating mga kadete sir. But there are other things aside from that. 4 years inside the academy, academic activities, extra curricular, and many more. Hindi lng po palakasan o pahirapan ang labanan. But of course, I really would agree na ang training sa SAF ay mahirap. A lot of officers that I admire are in SAF, or from SAF. Wala tayong pagtatalunan Jan sir.

+Blacksherman20 Hi sir, yes you can choose your branch, if you are referring to the tribureau: the bjmp,bfp and PNP. on the different unit(or specialty, if that's what you mean) selection, depende ksi every year nagbabago ang rule sa time namin, ang SAF at Maritime Group lang ang pwde piliin. the rest ay nagbunutan na kung saang region maaasign. kung gusto mo mag crjme lab, PNPA hasno quota for that unit kasi technical unit po yan. ang graduates ng PNPA ay sa line units lng po napupunta. so di po kayo mapupunta dun.

Sir, pagka graduate ng isang kadete sa PNPA. Pwede po bang mag diretso sa Law School? At ilang taon ba ang compulsory service sa PNP,BFP,BJMP? at pwede po ba hindi ma tapos ang compulsory service?

Hindi po mag kapariha ang training nang cadet sa training nang mga po1 sir yes same training tayo peri kayo 6months to 1year lang training nyo kami 4years halos araw at sobrang hirap kayo kaya training na mag aaral kpa ang hirap non at e clarify ko lang ang training nyo sa training namin ay 30% out of 100
