It started out with the intention to make the perfect home for the children, and then eventually evolved into making the Most “Perfect Story in the Multiverse” XGaster looked out into the wide expanse of the Multiverse and among its unique stories and diversity, wanted the chance to create something that would be able to stand out among all of that, something he could call: [Unique]
It just so happened that he got a little too carried away with that dream for Uniqueness among the many stories of the multiverse and forgot his true aim.
To create a perfect home for his children…
Personally I blame Ink, if he hadn’t shown the vastness of the multiverse so quickly and so abruptly and had chosen to be more delicate and slow-paced when introducing XGaster to the existence of the wider Multiverse then maybe XGaster wouldn’t have been so overwhelmed with all of these seemingly “unique” stories and wouldn’t have gotten so hung up on trying to create something that would stand out among them.
If He had been slowly introduced to the Multiverse and adjusted accordingly to the vastness of his view of the existence with Ink on how things work, he would’ve gradually expanded his horizon of the world and wouldn’t of become so much of a…

when the undertale fandom has done so much unholy stuff, even then there are lights to remind us that beautiful things can be created. we, the fans, thank you nyx and jakei for the animating and music you have offered us all those years. upon such, this community still manages to hold on strong and powerful 💪🏽

Even if some characters like flowey and such won’t appear, it still makes sense that they wouldn’t. Like flowey is canonically waiting next to the flowers basically peer pressuring the player to stop them. Nice to see canon lore being emphasized

Seeing Outertale, Underfell and Underswap with the other AUs that we have currently in UV makes me wish they didn't die back in season 1. It makes me wonder what kind of roles and music they would have in season 2 if they ever got solo fights. Especially Outer since he never had a proper fight.
