    Man ive never had luck with snare drums. I found a pearl professional series 6.5x14 used for $75. Tuned it high. Finally. The snare sounds, "almost" as good as this snare.

    • @frankspikes4867
      @frankspikes4867 Před 5 lety +4

      Great drumming, sweet video! ! Good question. How do you tune a drum that without breaking the head. Very carefully. I tune my snare drums in stages. I put a brand new head on and tune it medium high. Put both hands in the center of the head, and gently apply pressure. Then I check the tuning on all the lugs. I try to get them as even as I possibly can. Then I let the drum sit for about 2 days. I come back 2 days later and give it a final tuning. By letting the drum sit for 2 days, you're giving the head time to stretch. Sorry so late. I hope that helps.

      Negative. The concept that he was explaining is the same regardless of the snare drum, of course the Edge snare has a Even wider tuning range but you can get most snares in a subjective low range with Proper tuning and manipulation.
