His defense of Scar is actually half true. Doesn't change the fact that Scar screwed up the ecosystem and was a murdering ass, mind you. Actually, Scar's rise is more like a caricature of the type of threat Trump talked about: a bunch of foreign hyenas from outside the lighted areas of the pridelands came in and screwed everything up. It's unclear how such an unsustainable super-abundance of predators arose in the first place, but Mufasa's policy was to basically keep them out and let them starve rather than letting them kill all the prey animals in the pridelands and throw everything out of balance.
You could also consider Mufasa's policy to be nepotism since he kept out the hyenas that would compete with the same ecosystem niche as his cubs. You could compare this to restricting the H-1B visa to keep foreign educated workers from competing with American educated workers.
Mufasa's policies that made Scar's rise possible are the same policies Trump has, and Scar's policies that generated lioness resentment and made Simba's rise possible are the same policies that generated the resentment that made Trump's rise possible. Except that in the real world most immigrants want to work and don't have to eat fellow citizens to survive.
