Just watching this as I’m trying to learn to color block for a mani this weekend and I went (in the jungle tune) “tell me somethin’ good, The Bobby Bones Show” lol love that you also listen to 93.1 (well that’s what it is here in MD at least lol)! Thanks for making this video!
How did your color blocking go? 🫶🏻💕
@@SipAndDip it was so much easier than I thought it would be! Thanks for the help with this video!
I looooove this mani! 😍😍😍
Totally Kayla thanks Kayla!! 🥰✨
@@SipAndDip you're welcome love!!!
I tried the gel liquid with dip combo and here are my thoughts!: one big thing was how easy the removal for me! Which is strange since you mentioned that removal was difficult. application was very smooth however, i feel like the nails cracked more easily. maybe i just need some practice but i was definitely happy with the results!
Hey Eva! I’m so glad you gave it a try! I love that it was easier for you! So that sounds like yours need one more dip. Because you are pouring over and not dipping into, it can mean thinner layers. This is also probably why it was easy to remove. If you are having cracking then you need more strength. I would give adding another layer of gel base/dip and see if that helps! ❤️ so happy that you gave it a try! 🙌🏼
Very nice😍😍😍
Very nice
Such cute nails! Any tips on avoiding white specks on dark nails? I brushed excess with brush then used a toothbrush to make sure the excess was off but when I used a gel top coat I could see all the white specks
Makeup with Mariela girl I wish I had the answer to this! The only thing I can think of is to maybe try to do 2 dips of color and 1 dip of clear on top. But it happens to me too 😅 some colors seem to be worse than others. I honestly think it’s pigment thing! Sorry I’m no help there 😫💕
Hi Chelsea! I love watching your videos and sooooo happy you did one with the gel method! It’s so much easier!!! I had a question for you :) have you noticed if the colors aren’t quite the same as dipping?
Hi Jennifer! So glad you are loving the gel method!! 🙌🏼 the only thing I’ve noticed is that I could use another layer sometimes because they are thinner from pouring over. And sometimes the color is a tad bit lighter from pouring over. Dipping into definitely grabs more pigment and soaks into dip liquids better. 💕
Beautiful work
ShadaePrincess s thank you so much! 💕
I love these nails so much!! Also loved the story, I love animals! 😍 Any chance curing longer will hurt anything? I cured my gel FOREVER lol. I’ll have to go back and watch your first gel video later when the kids are busy!!
I’m so glad you loved the story! 💕 do you mind me asking how long you cured for?
@@SipAndDip 60 seconds each time, maybe 120 on the top coat lol
Kim Geistkemper so I found that flash curing (10 sec) for between layers was ok. Then for top 30 sec was enough. Sometimes I’ll do my final top for 60 just in case. Does yours not seem to cure after 60?
@@SipAndDip I honestly forgot to check the times on tutorials and followed the times on her liquid info on her website, which I think said 60/120. It seemed OK after 60, I'm definitely going to try going down in time next time! Unfortunately the tip of one of my stiletto nails already broke so I'm going to have to do it again sooner rather than later. I want to play, I'm just sad it broke :(
I have a question ... could you have put a layer of clear powder over the Peel Base on your color block nail then put the tape down and proceeded with the tape/color block method?
That is so brilliant!! I had an idea afterwards (of course 🤣🙈) to try doing a layer of just base liquid, let dry, and then dip as usual. That way it wasn’t too much work or bulky. I definitely need to give both a try! Hindsight is everything 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for sharing, you’re so smart!!
Love this! What is flash curing?
A quick cure, so about 5 to 10 seconds rather than 30 to 60 seconds 💕
Are you still using your nail pro tools set?
I am! I don’t seem to grab for many of them though since I’ve been doing more pour over techniques. I do use the tray a lot. Especially if I’m not filming. I ended up purchasing Candi’s Skin Care organizer because it holds so much more, for swatches. I typically do quite a few swatches at a time so I sort of “out grew” the other one. I found the finger stand to be awkward to adjust to. I’m still working with it though! So far, the tray is my fav because I’m not be wasteful with paper plates. 💕
By flash cure how many seconds
My lamp is 10 sec but each lamp can be different, 3, 5, 7 etc. 🥰
Am I first?! Lol yaaayyyy
Totally Kayla yesss! Thanks so much for watching babe!! 🥰😘
@@SipAndDip absolutely!!
Omg I just listened to your story about Debra and Emma, yup I'm crying!!!! What an incredible story! In a time when we need hope and love!!!
