Planet of the drum members will never disappoint. All with a unique sub genre. Dara is one of the most underrated djs alive today. So many people in the past 10 years will have no idea what he contributed to publicizing dnb. Him dieselboy and ak1200.

First time I threw this disc in, I had just ingested mushrooms about 45 minutes prior. Just as the mushrooms were starting to take hold of me, I was absorbed by the thunderous rolling thumps of bass, The echoing voices in the distant periphery called me into an intense powerful self-actualization. In that moment and each and every eternal moment afterwards, I was alive. Truly alive. Laughing in god-like mastery, Delighting in existence.. I wanted to explode. My absolute awe of Dara was un-containable..

I remember the first time I spent the night hanging out with DG watching him work his craft, and being able to shoot the shit with him while drinking bottles of ice cold Honey Brown that he brought, and smoking numbers of kushy, skunky, funky green that was tilled by mine own hand.
Good times every time I see him. Such a class act downright good guy with a tip top ear for the sound, and the skills to match.
Rare indeed to find somebody who is/has all three, but that is Darragh for ya.

TRUTH
I feel like this album is the drum and bass representation of all four elements: starting with earth, then fire, wind, and finally water. A totally mind-blowing mix.
Stole this cd from a shop in the mall back in the early 00's when I was a kid not knowing what it was. Probably one of the best DNB mixes I've ever heard hands down. Held on to it for years and played the hell out of it. Finally lost it back in like 2010, wish I still had it. Perfection from front to back. Can't find in on Spotify or any streaming service as far as I know either, shame.
None of the Breakbeat Science back-cat is available on digital, either. Even more of a damn shame.
The transition at 31:19 always gets me, it's like a rainbow after the storm. :)

As far as selection of tracks used in a set. Dara tops em all. Science this album's drop to forever I'll love this album.

That lead-in starting around 28:10 and the drop at 29:00 is fucking spectacular. I used to play that track on repeat in my car. Sub in the trunk bumping hard.

Decent mix but two points of criticism.
1. It's definitely too fast. BPM should be slowed just a but to make it more enjoyable. Many tracks just lose some of their vibe when you play them this fast.
2. Not really criticism per se but more of a general opinion of mine. It's a label showcase and there's nothing wrong with that. But no single label in the world releases all the best tracks. So for those calling this one of the best mixes ever... In my opinion the best mixes are made of a selection of good tracks from a (wide) variety of labels. Label mixes tend to have a lot of similar tracks with a similar vibe to them. Even for labels I like a lot, their 'label mixes' never really stand out because some tracks are really good, others not so much. Same here. I like some of the tracks but others are a bit 'meh'.
