I have been to Lanyu a few times when I lived in Taiwan (living in the US now). I actually once stayed in the Lanyu Kindergarten (slept on the floor of the school) back then. It really has changed a lot and got more touristy since then. I was totally fascinated by its beauty and its unique culture. It is such a gem!

I love the orchid island as well, I fell in love with it when my family visited the island last Summer. Even got a sun burn on my hands by riding a scooter around the island (36 Km) on the second day noon. I am definitely going back there when I get a chance.

Here’s an interesting passage from a book I’m currently reading: “The Tao have no tradition of smelting and casting. The tribe’s distinctive conical helmets are made by beating Mexican silver dollars received when trading with outsiders in the 19th century.”

蘭嶼最早的名稱為達悟語「Ponso no Tao」，意思是「人之島」。1947年因島上盛產蝴蝶蘭而改名。
目前有些英文網站稱它為 「Koto island」或是「Orchid Island」（意為蘭花之島，此即蘭嶼的意譯）。
蘭嶼，位於臺灣東南方外海上，為臺東縣蘭嶼鄉所管轄，因其島上獨有的達悟族風俗民情而遠近馳名。

另外我覺得好可惜、你沒有在晚上的時候去拍星空...
蘭嶼的光害非常的少，所以你到島的另外一邊幾乎是整片黑暗，但是因為這樣，所以你抬頭看就會看到滿天的星斗❤️
而且可以用一般的單眼相機就可以拍得到銀河🌌不需要另外再準備長鏡頭
另外蘭嶼浮潛也非常的美麗，下次你可以安排更多的時間停留在蘭嶼，好好的再玩一次，一定會有更多的收穫
我之前去過一次蘭嶼，之後也好想再回去蘭嶼玩，蘭嶼真的太美了❤️

介紹都蠻清楚的，但是羊的部分其實不是山羊 是有人養的 羊的身上都會有記號 巴丹島這一段其實蠻不錯的 因為很少人知道蘭嶼跟巴丹島的故事 對我來說我們就是同一個族群 但各自被不同國家統治 歡迎下次再來玩～

跟台灣其他離島不同的是，蘭嶼讓人感到特別舒適，很悠閒、很放鬆，島上的居民也非常熱情，最棒的是他們有非常好的海洋永續觀念
30年前中秋連假到蘭嶼、綠島旅行七天，那時觀光客不多，也沒有便利商店，對島上人、事、物留下美好深刻印象，至今未曾舊地重遊。透過衞斯理影片記憶彷佛回到以前🤗謝謝🥰
對我這個大島都市俗，蘭嶼有幾件事讓我印象深刻：兩三歲小孩自己下海玩，太陽色的魚槍男手上拉了一大串剛打上來的魚，一群男人手工造船，農人手工整理水芋田(台灣多是旱芋)，老人從他家涼亭用懷疑的眼光看我這觀光客(可能是有些觀光客給他壞印象)，農會超市前成群的婦女在地上擺早市，擺自己種的蔬菜。講起來有點獵奇，但很佩服他們能維持傳統生活。
他的傳統房子沒經過同意是不能進入的，也不能隨意對當地人照相…這是禁忌！
衛斯理把蘭嶼拍得好美，也介紹得好吸引人！很想繼續看更多的蘭嶼😃
可能要等 明年???

我也好想去😱😱😱太美了！！！希望蘭嶼在文化觀光下仍保有自然的純真。山羊都有人養，但是自然放養。他們耳有剪做記號，以達悟族人來說是下咒語，如果被偷走，那小偷會受到詛咒，所以達悟族人都遵守禁忌。

去馬祖時, 記得也順道去另兩個更北的小島 -- 東/西引島. 我在那裡待了整整兩年, 可以看到完全無光害的銀河星空.
建議下次去上山下海，爬天池 、小天池、燈塔、浮潛，享受熱帶風情，比小琉球還原始!

42年前去過一次，那時沒有羊，沒有夜市，只記得沿路的百合花夾雜在青翠的山坡和居民在海邊曝曬的飛魚等，現在改變好多。

蘭嶼有非常多特有種生物，藍嶼角鴞、蘭嶼姫兜蟲、津田式大頭竹節蟲...還有特有原住民文化，是太平洋上的珍寶，很值得多待幾天
到蘭嶼要尊重當地習俗、不做傷害當地生態和動物的行為(例如：用手電桶照貓頭鷹、手摸鍾乳石...)，請找真正愛護蘭嶼環境的當地導遊(近年來不少非蘭嶼本地導遊帶著遊客破壞蘭嶼生態，令人汗顏)
最好事前作一些有關蘭嶼的功課，如果有導遊帶你做有害蘭嶼的事請教育那位導遊

兩天太少了，住上一週就會黏住蘭嶼了。
如果你和當地人接觸生活才會懂的達悟族的生活智慧，和台灣人的思想是非常不同的。
然後島上的岩石名稱是有達悟族語的，請不要用中文去譯它！達悟族語才有賦予岩石名稱意義及靈魂，有機會可請教當地人解釋。
飛魚或飛魚卵等...在蘭嶼是供給族人當生活所需的食物，一般是不作商業行為的！所以請不要消費吃飛魚！！
蘭嶼海水很藍，風景很好，空氣也不錯，飛魚卵香腸很好吃，炸飛魚肉很香，值得走一趟。
