    Two months ago I have been in Europe, and Bratislava was my favorite city, ahead of cities like Berlin, Vienna and Budapest. Love the food, the vibe, the history and the people. I love this city so much!!! Dakujen :D

    Bratislava, the only city where I never saw a smiling face even after being there three times. At some point I'll give the city, which is in itself very beautiful, a fourth chance. 🙂

      If you visited in autumn-winter, it might be true 😅 jokes aside, let’s say that it’s much much better to go there in spring or summer, the city has different colors and people are happier 🙂

    Love your capital city. I've been to Bratislava once many many years ago. But i still have very fond memories of the place and hope to visit it once again in the future. Cheers from an expat living in Malaysia now.

      I don’t know how long ago you went but this city is evolving very rapidly, so it changed a lot for sure ☺️ Downtown was not there a few years ago and the area was much different for instance! Cheers 🙂

      @@palmacate to be exact, it was back in 1990, perhaps you were not even born then yet :). It has definitely changed a lot and to me it's almost unrecognizable now. But i do remember that big bridge and some monastery/chapel buildings.

    Mostly Slovaks from willages and eastern Slovakia don´t like the city. Why? Bratislava is very pro-european and the thoughts of citcizens is more simmilar to Austrians, than to Slovaks. There is a big difference beteen Bratislava and other parts of the country. Only Trnava city /very close to Bratislava/ and partly Košice are simmilar to Bratislava this way...

      I’m Slovak and my dislike of Bratislava has nothing to do with the people who live there or their mentality. I actually appreciate how tolerant and open-minded people in Bratislava are compared to the more rural parts of Slovakia. I just don’t think it’s a very pretty city, especially compared to our neighbours’ capitals.

      @palmacate  Před měsícem +1

      Thank you for your insights! 🙂 it’s definitely not as big as its neighbours but I think it’s quite nice 😍

      But there are many such places in Slovakia, basically every regional and larger city Trnava, Nitra, Žilina, Trenčín, Banská Bystrica, Prešov, Poprad, Martin, Prievidza, Zvolen are all nice cities that have a lot to offer! But of course, most of it is understandably concentrated and built in Bratislava, when it is the capital of the country, or in the second largest city in Košice in the east of Slovakia. Because these are the centers of the country's metropolis with international airports.
