Guild Wars 2 Lore: The Characters

- This weeks installment introduces us to the heroes of Guild Wars 1. It wasn't in the original plans for the series, but I felt deserved a spot so we knew who we were actually rooting for in the plot!
Also, the next video will be earlier than usual - next weekend! So keep an eye out for that.

These videos are so well done they make me want to replay Prophecies. I haven't gone through that storyline in ages it seems and I miss many of those characters (particularly Cynn). :)

Seconded, these video's are teaching me, a GW1 player, over twice as much as I knew about it before. And whats better, its being told in a fascinating well delivered fashion with surprisingly good pictures to illustrate what he means.

Thanks for the some more Lore i never played guildwars 1 because i couldnt quite stand the camera angle of all things. This is realy helping me into undertsanding the lore for Guildwars 2 and i hope you keep it up cant wait for the next instalment : ) hopefully you get them all out by the time of release : )

man, This series and watching old cutscenes is making me realize how much I didn't know or understand. Like that Koss was an actual character from the original days. Or that the Adam Skull had a history and wasn't just some random focus

Thank you. So much. These five have absolutely been my favorite characters since the very beginning in Prophecies, and I have always felt that their story has gone so unappreciated. I mean, you can even tell this from majority of the comments.
I just really hope that their story comes forth in Guild Wars 2, hearing of their achievements and hopefully their ancestors' as well. I'd love to see some in-game references.

I liked this coverage of the GW lore, it really helps give me a refresher, since I haven't been in the early areas of the game really intensively for years.
Sadly, a lot of this is going to be simply lost when GW2 comes out.

Lol I wasn't, I just got pulled into the Guild Wars games after hearing of guild wars 2. And I really appreciate all content that WoodenPotatoes puts out about both the original Guild Wars and 2. :) I've been looking for it and plus I get to hear a nice accent to boot lol.

"Holier than thou" does not justify the enslavement and gladiator fighting of human children. Which is what the Charr did. And what they brag about. Which is what this is about. This isn't about humans being not very likable, this is about the Charr being fucking monsters in the past and the Charr in GW2 being PROUD of it. You keep avoiding the point by attacking the humanss. I'm not going to argue with you about humans being jerks. That's apparently a requirement for a MMO.
