What is the tool name to remove the hose? How much did you spend in parts ? Thanks.
They are hose disconnect tools. And andrew bought the parts so I do not know the cost on them
“That’s what she said”🤣
Hey man, I have a permanent code P24C4. I replaced the egr cooler bypass valve yesterday bc of sensor errors and such codes. My countdown was already on prior to changing it. How did you get the countdown off? Just driving it? I don’t have a glow plug code so I guess that isn’t relevant to me. I’m gonna attempt to drive it to work tomorrow and hopefully it will have enough miles to get me back lol
Sorry I'm just seeing this. Can be a pain to clear sometimes. Normally you run a regen on the truck then drive it.
Well, I have a P24C4 code with a description of "EGR Cooler Bypass Valve Position Sensor Exceeded Learning Limit." Is the sensor pretty much the black plastic piece? And if so, is it possible to just buy a new Bypass valve, and swap out the black plastic pieces rather than replacing the whole thing? I'm not nearly as mechanically inclined as y'all, I don't have all the necessary tools, and just don't feel confident in replacing the whole thing.
I do not know if you can or not, but I would not due to the mechanical side could be stuck. Also the egr cooler probubly needs to be cleaned also. If your near SD I would be happy to help you with it
@@penguinsgarage Thank you for the quick reply and offer to help. Unfortunately I'm out here in Commi-fornia. By the way, your video was great
