    Hey, what's coming on TV tonight? I heard there's a good movie. What's for supper? Just call Dominoes. I got rid of the TV 22 years ago and bought a ping pong table and tennis rackets and badminton set and TV is just for the lazy. I know people who watch TV 70 hours a week. They work 40 and stare at the TV the rest.

    Great video!. I haven't watched TV ever since I was about 16 years old. There is nothing cool or interesting on TV anymore. It's very different from the 1990's when people actually enjoyed watching TV. Now in our society, most or many people have the internet to watch whatever they like. I usually like watching only interesting documentaries and some movies and I watch all of them on the internet on CZcams or Amazon prime. I can't imagine myself watching TV like how I used to when I was a kid.

    I don't have TV and Radio for 3 Years this month now.
    I hate TV and Radio. People go terrified when they ask what do you watch from TV or listen from the Radio. I say I don't know what's going there no more because I do not have one... Had nothing like these things for years. Awesome!
    Laptop is my TV and laptop is my Radio. I use CZcams, Play Music and Play Movies. I decide what to watch and listen. Now. Same people are asking me to visit them. I come in, 9 out of 10 they all are on different television sets.
    One even made it better, he was watching TV while on Android phone or Chrome laptop. I mean are you watching your TV or surfing on the internet? So much information at once, you can't handle that! I just do one thing at a time.
    Then they ask why you are not visiting us. Why. So you are again going to watch TV? Then these people ask but you are on your phone - sorry - but what I supposed to do when everyone is Offline from a meeting you've asked.
    People are so tired nowadays after 9-5, they just come home and watch TV until the bed asks...
    I too found to be out more when I have only basic apps on my phone, laptop and basic speed internet plan. I don't have TV or Radio wasting my time. When I deleted Facebook I got a lot more of extra time to be outside.
    I also refuse to watch or follow sports, news and other mainstream things!

    A guys thoughts on why we don't need TV presented as a video of him speaking to the camera without illustrating text, graphics or pictures. (Therefore less functional than a simple old-fashioned blog) ...Irony meter off-scale !

    • @mikeb5314
      @mikeb5314 Před 8 lety +2

      +Charles Botensten So if the message is more important than the presentation why make a video at all ?. A blog would do the job far better. Searchable, quotable text is far more accessible than bandwidth hungry video ! Using video (when there's no compelling need to) in order to proclaim that there is no need for television is a tad ironic no ?

    I know I'm late but I've noticed most tv has switched to the novel/soap opera format. If you don't know, a soap opera/novela is the lowest form of television programming. It uses lots psychological tricks to hook you and keep you watching. Episodes end on cliff hangers, relationships are the main drive of the story. They don't have any actual goals. Premises and plot lines are constantly recycled, just executed differently each season. It's all the same garbage whether it's manufactured drama or narative drama or political theater. You are not missing out on anything. Props to you man. You've cracked the code.
