Fun fact: In the mission where you use Polyjuice Potion and turn into one of Malfoy's mates, you can make them lose house points by deliberately getting caught by the Prefects! This makes it even easier for Gryffindor to win than ever before.

As a kid I was scared shitless of the prefects on those stealth missions. I re-played the game for the first time in over a decade during lockdown. I’m a 23 year old grown ass man, and I was still shitting myself on those missions! 😭😭

@@SammEater The first two games has quite a bit of variety of releases as a multiplat. PC, PS1, PS2/Xbox/GC, GBC, GBA, and they're all completely different games from each other.

If I remember correctly, I played the PS1 SS, PS2 CoS, then PS2 SS and then they finally came out with the PS1 CoS right before people stopped buying PS1s.

This Game was actually made before the first one because the First Harry Potter game on the PS One was the movie tie in. Then this one was released. Then because of how successful this game was they decided to remake the original game with ps2 models. But the remake of the first game wasn't very popular and is now a rare ps2 game

I knew that too, but not that the PS2 one is rare. Didn’t know that! I have PS1 and 2 for that one. I’ve been meaning to get PS1 Chamber of Secrets so I can have both of that one as well, but haven’t yet gotten around to that.
Is it rare on Xbox too?
@@sucksesfullyyours2297 the game itself on that generation of consoles is rare. So Xbox, Ps2 and Gamecube versions of the game are quite rare.

I discovered this game at my Aunt and Uncle's house on a family vacation after having playing Prisoner of Azkaban for years. After the vacation I immediately picked it up for GameCube. I've loved watching you destroy my childhood.

the game cube version was the one i remember from my childhood
For PS2/XBox, they made HP2 before HP1, so they didn’t learn to not say the flavour every time you pick a bean up, but they thought “you know what it lacks? Saying the flavour. But we only record a voiceline for 5 different flavours”
One of the things I always remember about the Chamber of Secrets movie is when he goes to touch that weird desiccated hand and it grabs him because while watching it I literally KNEW that it was going to grab him just because it was so obvious but it STILL made me jump out of my skin when it happened 😂

The GameBoy Color versions of the first two Harry Potter movie tie-in games were gold. The GBA versions not so much. Thankfully the team that did the GBC versions did the GBA version of _Prisoner of Azkaban_ ... I'm quite glad those were my first HP game experiences.

9:04 - interesting fact, it was the other way around. The Chamber of Secrets on PS2 came first. The PS2 Philosopher’s Stone was a remake of the PS1 version using the engine from Chamber of Secrets.

you've probably been told this already but: this game came out before the PS2/GC/Xbox Harry Potter Sorcerer of Stone game, a different company worked on that one and ripped the hogwarts map from this game into that game. Many people consider the PC version of Sorcerer stone to be the best version (even though it still has a bit of jank). The wierd thing is the PC and console versions of Harry Potter are very different from each other. Same idea, different layout. definitely check out the PC version of 1,2 and 3 if you can. Its considered abandonware so don't bother looking for it at online stores

This was one of the only games I ever had for Windows (or games that I've played on PC in general in my life) in the inbetween period of my mom getting us a desktop and her buying me a Gamecube 2002-2003. Could never get past the fire crabs.

Hey! I remember another old movie videogame i used to play with my friend... 10 years ago or something. It's the UP game for ps2, and is co-op, I remember it being... Fine(?). Oh and yes, it's made by the same developers from the Wall-e and Ratatouille game, but this time you don't have to pick up collectables, or at least it isn't the main objective. give it a try.

I had this for computer as a kid and put so many hours into it, good times. Although I’ll fully admit that it doesn’t hold up today, like at all lol. I’ll always have those rose tinted glasses for it though. My friend owned the 1st game and we would constantly swap them to play the other game. I remember there were some really hilarious glitches in these games too.
