Monster High PRIDE Frankie Stein Reroot & Restyle!! Let’s Give Frankie Rainbow Hair! 🌈

To celebrate Pride month I wanted to a custom Rainbow Frankie Stein reroot and restyle since Frankie is canonically nonbinary and in a queer relationship dating Cleo DeNile!
This whole project started because I had a gorgeous two piece outfit from Rainbow High Junior High Avery Styles that I have been wanting to use. I also had my first G3 Frankie Stein doll who had yellowed hair, thus the idea for this video spawned!
I wanted to do some rainbow hair for Frankie to celebrate pride so my idea was to take inspiration from G1 Frankie’s classic bump-it hairstyle but to recreate in a rainbow color way!
The end results are STUNNING and I love Frankie’s new look!
Maybe I’ll do more pride themed reroots hmmm 🤔

I also don't think that you doing these restyles for yourself and not for sale is selfish at all. The fact that you share the process and finished looks with us via video serves as such a huge inspiration and gave me so many ideas to restyle and customize my own dolls!

you can make the dolls have sort of longer necks with g3 if you cut off a little chunk of the bottom part of the neck peg!
Plus, rainbow just looked better on Frankie. He didn’t just black and white. She can have that rainbow black and white hairstyle loves that.

That hair is positively breathtaking, and goes so beautifully with that outfit! I also occasionally customize dolls, but don't do it for others because then it becomes work.

They look SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD, I want more pride dolls Mattel ToT preferably just like this Frankie hehe 🤭 But for real, I think that’s my favorite Frankie look using a g3 doll, like, from all the Frankie’s g3 that exists, this one is the best (not just from restyles)

You did a really good job, on this it definitely gives me Amaya vibes from Rainbow High but mixed with Monster High done your way, it's actually a really great pride doll unlike the actual Frankie there indeed delaying her until 2025 for some odd reason. I'm working on my next project I'm in the middle of it's G3 Catty done my way I can't say what she will look like but once u get the picture it will explain it, hopefully u saw my email with pictures. best of luck, with your future projects.

How do you rerooters get perfect hanks of hair every time? 😭😭😭😭 I know you’ve done it a lot
When holding and handling the hair you just have to be very delicate so it doesn’t get super messy!
Saran I find is easier to handle compared to nylon, when I reroot with nylon the hair feels more slippery and tougher to wrangle.

PS, Question: I want to bright chrome paint her prosthetic, is there a way to coat the lettering with a paint on/peel off material to preserve it from being covered up? 🤔
I’m not sure, I think if you chrome the prosthetic leg there is no going back!

Great job, they look amazing! Do you use a certain number of strands with each plug or is it more random?
I don’t count how much hair I use for each plug, I’ve gotten a good feel on how much hair to section out just with time and practice.
You can tell when the plugs are too thin bc the hair won’t stay in the head. If the plug is too thick sometimes you can’t even pick up the hair with the rerooting tool, let alone stick it in the head!

Hello honey, I have a question. The writing on the leg of my favorite G3 Frankie is faded, while the color of the other one is more vibrant. Is it possible to replace prosthetic legs with each other?
I’ve never tried to swap legs but you might be able to! I’ve just accepted my fate with my faded Frankie legs lol
why did your frankie’s hair yellow?
I’m not 100% sure! White Saran hair already isn’t pure white and has a yellow tinge but this one was particularly bad.
My best guess is maybe oils in a conditioner from washing and conditioning from restyling their hair a lot
