Im also a diesel mechanic that loves edm music so I subbed to you brother. I got a orange with black trim epiq it just arrived at the shop today. See you at lost lands
Sweet looking box!! My Mac box is a repo and only paid a third of the price. I know people say that the tool truck brand boxes are over price. I understand that but it's your money and if it makes you feel good to be at work, we'll that had a value... Stay safe bro!
@Sid The sloth That is nuts!! I never understood why people care what others use or don't use. As long as the mechanic can do his job well and efficiently, I say we'll done. On our service truck we have Kobalt, Tekton, Craftsman and Pittsburgh . We just had a 3/8 ratchet fail and it was do to misuse. These brands have been great in the field.
Congratz on 300 subs! That Snap on dealer sounds like a great dealer to go out and source tools for his customers and not trying to just sell what he has to work with and not using that work ethic it takes to stay in business and keep your customers happy. Sure they may squeak by chasing payments every month but its putting in that extra effort that doesn't cost you anything extra to make extra money, that can go for many industries.
Inverted torx used on Jeep’s and the matco adapters are made to be used like a turbo socket. It’s a cheaper way of not having to buy turbo sockets. I have used crows feet sockets in the past. 40 year’s ago we didn’t have tools quite so advanced and you could stand in the engine compartment. Nice box and setup thanks for sharing. I live in the rust belt and have had a lot of rusted stuck stuff just looking at it makes you want to start swearing
Our Matco dealer told him that those low profile extractors were 6 to 12 point adapters. He told me the same thing. Guess I need to send him a link to Koon Trucking vid on them to get educated haha.
Before they made turbo sockets I kept impact sockets that could be sacrificed if need be. Hammer a metric socket onto a fractional fastener and twist that mother loose. That's the only time I would hammer on a Snap On socket. The dealer said he couldn't warranty them if they'd been hammered on, but sometimes you do what you have to do.
Might love the color a bit, I have the exact same combo for my Heritage single bank with top chest. I'll be upgrading soon, and I can't decide if want to stay with the same colors or go by Electric orange with blackout
Your toolbox is as neat and clean as I've ever seen. Those dents & scratches may have been put on on purpose cause knew it was gonna be repossessed 😠. Last, nobody ever shows or talks about a VICE. 43 years working on anything I come across... I need to use a vice daily. Got a Good deal about 15 years ago at Harbor Freight, $40 made in India and very heavy. Ones they have now are pretty crappy.
Maybe we’ll do a video on vices. We inherited two in the shop that, like our USA made lifts, may date back to the ‘80s. I’ve also got a Wilton Made in USA tradesman vice still in the package in storage.
Probably more. If you live and breathe it, it doesn’t seem like much looking back. There is always going to be guys that have more, and guys that have less. 👍🔧
BEST FUCKIN ATTITUDE of a mechanic I’ve ever seen!

Just gotta flip that matco mat over and you’re good 😂

That’s like torx being the original hex extractor.
I was a dealer tech too. Sometimes those used cars have lots of goodies in them.
This boy can talk!
Your box color is Gun Metal Gray...........................Storm Gray is lighter in color........FYI .

Don't know if someone beat me to it, but the matco 12-6 point are meant for rounded head extraction. Maybe they'll be a little more useful?
Yep. Our Matco dealer told me the same thing Chris said in the vid. I think that’s where Chris got that from.
Looking good bud!
Another great video!
Awesome, let's go!
No. I have orange..... Won't buy unless orange. But u r right. U keep it nice. Your money maker. Period..
My ocd was that bad where I could get a free tool and I wouldt care if it wasn’t orange. Yes now I regret it smh 🤦♂️
