Leave a comment or you'll lose your Jewelry!
You should gather all your clear sapphires and try to heat treat them and make heat treated rubies! Would love to watch you discover this process! Its quite fun to play around with!
Did you re-upload the video?
Pretty sure that's a fire opal. They're the only opal you facet.
Not necessarily; been seeing some interesting cuts on Ethiopian or welo lately. Would have liked to get a look at these under something like a dissecting microscope; his camera just isn't cutting it for stuff this small!
Don’t have any jewelry to lose…..
If you ever get confronted by someone just tell them you are cleaning the sidewalk
Just wear a high viz vest and put out an orange cone , maybe throw on a hard hat
You could tell them to mind their own business and move along.
Or just say,… mind your business or fuck off.. fuck off sends a stronger message I prefer that 😂
Just dress like a jew
You must be from the Midwest
Testing for hardness and performing a streak test will help you in identifying minerals.
Also, you might consider heating the raw pay dirt to a level that will burn off the hair and garbage while sanitizing the rest. It should not hurt your crystals or gold.
he did didnt he and say it stank and turned into a soupy mess because of it being dust and other gross soggy garbage
@@TheNewb187 yes, but i think he means direct heat, klesh just used some chemicals.
I think it is so smart for you to even come up with the act of "sidewalk sniping." Urban prospecting. I love it!
I’ve got to admit, the sidewalk sniping vids are my favourite Shane👍🏻 never know what you are going to find⛏🏴
Agreed
Yeah lots of fun and makes you think there are probably many places around the world where this would work. London, Mumbai, Hong Kong. Lots of fun. Keep it up.
Ya I definitely find the sidewalk sniping videos to be highly entertaining and interesting!!! 🙏🤙🤘
It's the biggest click bait scam today. These nice districts, the city pressure washes sidewalks and cracks every few months🤷🤦😆😂🤣
Same! By far lol I loveee these!!
This is a perfect example of something I would NEVER do. However, I have SO MUCH RESPECT for those who do it!
Your loss
Next time use a beaker ment for heat
I honestly like these more than the paydirt videos
Absolutely love this. I used to be a jeweler. I miss that job so much. Nothing more peaceful then repairing rings or fabricating custom pieces.
used to be? did you forget how to do it? im a mechanic, I'll never not be a mechanic.
@Nick lol i meant jeweler by profession..i for sure could still do it. Its def engraved in my brain.
@@dontwobble you’re not a marine, it’s not that serioud
@@kam2894the US hasn't been on the righteous side in any war since WW2. You're simping for terrorists fighting for corporate rule
Shouldve washed your clothes in a bucket and panned it 😂
Hey Shane. I've been watching some home refiners and have one suggestion. When heating your stuff up have another heatproof dish underneath your breaker. It helps with any possible cracking but then can save anything if something does spill out.
Yep, I wanted to tell him exactly that, because it also happened to me once.
If you watch sreetips, you already know this😆
@cumulusvapes7 I was about to say the same thing lol, sreetips is awesome for refining gold etc.
@@fieldie Ya one of, if not the best around for that kind of thing. The refining his carpet was interesting lol
Real pearl can be found out be rubbing it on your teeth, if it's smooth it's not real but if it's gritty it's real. This is the easiest way to find out if the pearls are real or not.
Always a favorite type of video for me. Love this! Thank you!
I won't be putting any of this near my mouth though
Eeeewwww....! Considering where that ones been, you couldnt pay me enough....
@@Klesh Hahaha 🤣😂 you don't have to tell me twice, I wouldn't either! It's from the streets of New York, you've no idea what's happened to the material you've brought home, it's probably seen some 💩 LOL 😆
@@Klesh You can also test by rubbing two genuine pearls against each other!
I have to admit watching you clean the sidewalks if New York with a vacuum. Priceless lol!
I feel like these are the only videos I get from you, not that I'm complaining
It's so cool to see everything you find just laying on the street
Typed this up before the YT algorithm talk 😅, but if you want to boost your videos I can help from more of a technical aspect
Interesting, the CZcams algorithm only promotes a small fraction of the 500+ videos here
U inspired me to build my own system! I bring a bigger vacuum to gather more stuff and I bring an extra 3 batteries so I can do it longer. I’ve also added a cyclone and a picker on the end of the wand making the whole process much faster and so I don’t need to bend down too much. I also got a Miller’s table to filter out all the small stuff!
so what stuff did you find and how much did you sell the diamonds for?
Good luck 👍⛏ I find this small system works great for me, for a few reasons. Firstly it's compact and airplane friendly. I did have a hook attachment welded to the end of the hose, but the other hose was metal (for stability) but it makes the whole rig much heavier and less travel friendly. The Miller table process may work, just be careful you don't lose anything. The weight differences in the material are completely unknown and certain items may wash down unexpectedly quicker than others. I find hand panning, although tedious, is the best and most thorough way to be as sure as possible you're getting all the "good stuff".
@@Klesh yeah it looks like your system is perfect for the traveling and you’re very thorough. I love watching your videos for this reason. You have such a rad set up. There’s this older super chill CZcamsr that makes the best Miller tables on the market I swear. His tables catch pretty much everything. They’re incredible. His channel is: @utahavalanch. I’m eventually wanting to scale up my system for dry river beds using a stronger vacuum system pre-screened with 1-2 cyclones attached. I know I’ll miss out on some bigger nuggets but I have a feeling I’ll end up making more $ in way less time. I’m hoping it’ll all pan out!🤙
So since you brought it up. I have to tell you, before my father-in-law retired, he worked for a city in So.Cali. and he worked in the water works dept. In the sewer and the point is he collected huge pickle jars full of coins, metal, and jewelry from the times when he needed to go into the sewers and do maintanence.
Cool!
This was such a great video Klesh! The time spent preparing, shooting and researching this video is much appreciated! Merry Christmas my friend and I hope 2023 is a prosperous year for you! Keep up the great content! Stoney 😎
All those “snuffer stones” …
really exciting finding all this stuff even if they’re little and possibly CZ.
Collecting sidewalk debris then seeing cut gemstones pop out all over is really cool!
I was lucky enough to grab one of your skudge bags a while back and it was awesome! Digging out these little treasures tells a super interesting story of life on that sidewalk, great video!
That is awesome!
Nothing like paying for a small bag of NYC filth.
ngl this is also my favorite little series on your channel. absolutely love it from start to finish. would also love to see you travel to other places that have had jewelry stores in the same area for a long time.
I love these videos! Can't wait for your next jeweler district sidewalk paydirt video!
Can't wait for the video of you using a sluice box in the sewer
You should make a trip to various diamond/gold districts around the world! Great video Shane
A Dubai Classic tour ^^
Get a sponsor to do it please
I plan on more but in the meantime Check out my Sidewalk Sniping playlist I linked it in the description 👍⛏
A lot on India and the Middle East already have sweepers and mat collectors who pay to have the access and ability to clean the floors and areas the stores are in. Some even had a rotation schedule for the people to each have a shot. Was mind blowing.
Bangkok, Thailand would be a good place to do this. Huge jewelry trade there.
I love the side walk videos, congrats on your finds, keep making them please.
The way i could literally watch sorting through those pans all day..... These videos are awesome.
Thanks for watching!
“The first little section of crack we did” is my favourite thing you said
I love this treasure hunt series 💎 do more of them pls 😃
Insane how much gold you smelted down from the sludge! You're a Warrior Shane!
Been waiting impatiently for this one!😁😉 Thanks Shane❣️
This is only my personal opinion. I think you're doing a great job with these videos. Thank you for sharing with us. Your time is appreciated.
Dang thats alot of last rings and ear pieces that had diamonds on them there must be millions of loose diamonds out there in nyc man u are hitting the jackpot while no one else is doing what ur doing u have just earned a new sub. I hope to prospect there in nyc one day. And Merry Christmas to you and all the rest of ur subs. :)❤
Also wanted to share my appreciation for you sharing your knowledge on the refining process. It is event that you are knowledgable on the gold reefing process and we appreciate you sharing that in your videos.
I don’t have the time or space to refine gold but I get a lot of enjoyment watching “streetips” and his refining process.
All the best, #SeattleRingHunter
This is your best series of vids bro please do more PLEASE!!!
Love this type of video. So deep and enjoyable finding things with you
Currently studying gemmology would recommend a loupe and if that’s a bit out of your depth just a normal microscope works , these will allow u to look into the gemstones . Synthetic moissanite will show double refraction and CZ usually has way to much dispersion and poor faceting especially noticeable on the facet edges (not the girdle of the stone) hope this helps 👍👍
It’s crazy how little jewelers know about that stuff 😂
I lost a piece of jewelry in that area a couple years ago.
It was either a ring, earring, necklace, or just raw gold or diamonds. approximate value $500 - $50,000.
The search is the best journey to cool stuff!😊
Great little adventure! I love these videos. Got some Klesh Krumbs for my kids stockings this year. We have a blast panning in the kitchen every Christmas morning. Decided to go directly to the source on pay dirt. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Love these videos and im stoked on this new one!!! Been following you for awhile now and consider you to be one of the true blue pure of heart folks on youtube along with the likes of dan hurd, theo kellison, rookie rockhounding, black opal direct, crystal collector, that camping couple, paleo chris/bri. And so so many other great folks i dont have time to name em all. yall make my favorite content on this platform. Thanks for sharing your journey with us !!!
Thanks Steve that's much appreciated 👍
@@Klesh did you hand everything into the police? or is this video proof of a lot of crimes?
@@danquaylesitsspeltpotatoe8307 in Japan, it is legally required to turn anything found to the police. In the US - unless there's a name on it, or it's been posted as "missing", it's finders keepers.
I have only been interested in this series.
A joy to see.
Man this is on the same level as scrapping, thats how my dad made his living recycling precious metals. Clawing-through a sidewalk crack and vaccuming it all up sounds like a great idea, ill consider doing similar
I have been following you since 2016 or 2017 missed some videos bc of back surgery
was out about a year or more rehab. You never disappoint anyone, Shane. My thought
was that the fool's gold someone thought it was gold and took it there to check and
then wasn't happy and dumped it. Just a thought, I don't know. You wear so many hats
Shane and do it all so well. Another interesting and fun video. Happy Holidays! 🥰💓
You came up on my feeds as a suggestion, how awesome and interesting your journey was, I've never heard of someone doing this but it made perfect sense when you explained it, loved every step of this journey! Now I'm interested in your old and new videos so I guess that means I sub to your channel 😂 .... a big hi from Scotland too ( also shared to my brother! )😂👍
Welcome aboard!
This is my favourite series!!
Your an awesome prospector of many different hobbies. Your very interesting to watch. Thks for what you do. Watching from Vancouver British Columbia Canada
Fascinating! Just found you... I was in the lab at Cree the day the very first Moissanite gems came back from the gem cutters way back in the late '90s. It's great to know about the processes you are using- My 25 years of semiconductor experience finally paying off!! LOL!
I bought 5 of the “skudge” bags earlier this year and still have 3 of them left! This stuff is far and away the hardest paydirt ever. I’ve been through the tailings of the first bags at least 6 times and I’m still finding gold! Keep up the great work Klesh!
Thanks for the purchase(s) and the "new" Skudge will be even better - pure unsearched disgustingness
Make a Float cell. Will catch everything in one shot
Could be some rat nuggets or pickers in there!
Your panning skills are second to none sir.
Been waiting for this video always so very interesting to see what pop's up in the pan....keep up with all your hard work and keep up entertained.
Cool video Shane. So....if my calculations are somewhat correct, living on the street in NYC cleaning out sidewalk cracks may be more profitable than looking for gold in the deserts and streams of the southwest......and maybe more fun too!!
Great video Shane , you can never get enough of the NY city sidewalks maybe one day you’ll get a nice big diamond. Also I was wondering what kind of dog is that so beautiful
That's Timber he's a Rat Terrier 👍🐕
My question is more along the lines of, "how did you wear him *out*?" Looked pretty sleepy there!
This was awesome thanks for sharing
Another great vid. Keep em comin Shane. Watching your videos got me into this new hobby.
33:27 “I’m not sure about this stone. Seems like it’s scratched.”
“Well yeah..it was in the sidewalk.”😂
I’ve sold crystals, uncut, for almost a decade. It looks like you’re missing a lot of potential opals. It hard to tell through the footage but there appears to be a lot of milky semi-translucent stones, those can be opal. It can be synthetic but worth checking out.
Edit: I commented before finishing the video. Find someone locally that’s GIA certified. They can do a process through weighing the stones in and out of water that will tell you exactly what it is. Also, if you go to a guy and have some of the small stones set you may be able to sell the individual rings much easier, especially given your channel and popularity, you could market them easily.
I'm here from tiktok as someone had stolen your video. Glad you had your CZcams name in the video so I could get to the right place to see more!
Shame
How cool! Thanks for making the video.👍
Love these sidewalk videos. Treasure hunting at its’ best.
I love these videos!! I watched the live stream you were doing while scraping the cracks of NYC... I find it odd why some people believe you are faking this!
They see "Gold and Diamonds" and automatically assume FAKE - I get it...it's because of this guy - czcams.com/video/dTQUiqCLrKk/video.html
My favorite series!
I'm noticing a trend of side walk mining lately, pretty incredible that someone decided to try it and it caught on. Awesome stuff. Great content 👌
This series of videos are awesome!! Keep up the good work!
I loved the first video like this you did. Such an interesting concept. Keep up the great work!
Thats crazy gold and it cleans the cracks and makes the sidewalk cleaner good job klesh.
This is actually a way people make a living in India. There is a video all about it. I believe it's vice.
Thank you I really enjoy the sidewalk videos your finds are always interesting 🙂
These are some of my favorite types of videos that you post
Thank you very much!
I very much enjoyed this video!
I always enjoy your videos. Keep it up Shane. 👍🏻
Wow this is amazing man so flipping cool did not ever think this was even a thing
Dude, you are brave. That has to be some of the nastiest stuff to sift through. Great vids man! (And that guitar on the wall in the intro is BADASS!)
Hey, thanks!
Absolutely love these videos
That sewer grate looks tempting!
I enjoyed your video. You are a great teacher and a humble guy.❤
Very much on the information and educational aswell
Yes, keep doing this!

Oh hell yeah! Been waiting for this one. Awesome finds! You even got a nice opal!
This was so satisfying, keep them up!
Excellent
We learn something every time we watch your videos shame we love them thank you have a Merry Christmas and God bless
Kinda cool that all the times you've been to the diamond district, you found some cool diamonds and gemstones. Pretty sick
Right on. Merry Christmas
Big fan of these kind of vids. I mean i watch everything but i like these ones a lot. I guess you don't make a load of money but they're exciting to watch. Keep 'em comin' and we'll keep watchin' dude!
Nice sidewalk hunt Klesh 👍😊.
The last video you did from NYC inspired me to buy a portable DeWalt vac. Know I am off to clean the city streets!! Thanks again for great content! Now I won't loose my jewelry!!
We do love watching videos like this. TY!
What interesting treasure hunting will you have to come with to top these though? Can’t wait to see.
I live in NYC am in by Radio City and the diamond district and I still enjoy watching these.
Awesome
I've said it before and I'll say it again... The sidewalk prospecting videos are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!.. maybe someday you could climb down a manhole and see what you can find in the sewers?
Here we go NYC video ❤
The science stuff was really fun to watch!
Worth it for the hits on you tube. Keep up the good work. Love your vids.
Badass. This is wild.
Love all the videos, but its true.. these ones are special. Thank you.
