I'm not African American as I am from Latin America where my father is black from African roots from when the Spanish brought in the Africans to all over Latin America & so did the portugués to Brasil .... my Mother is a white latina with European background 4 generations behind her....
SO MANY PEOPLE have MISCONCEPTION that Africans were brought in as SLAVES IN THE USA ONLY = My Father is BLACK & mum is white = we ate Hispanic from LATIN AMERICA & it wasn't ony the English that brought in BLACK SLAVES!! This occurred with the SPANISH (SPAIN) & PORTUGUESE (POTUGAL).....

@Monique Writes Yes at school they teach us many & too many lies... but yes even I've heard people say that my ain't black he is Spanish & it shows how small-minded they are! Because for one we are not "Spanish" = Spanish people are from Spain in Europe & way too many people don't even know that the English, Spanish & Portugués brought in Africans to the American continent & used them as slaves & it blows my mind because my father was one of those with African descent & my Mother European & my grandmother was the daughter of native parents (my great-grandparents) that were killed & took my grandmother & she saw them get killed & all her sisters who separated & found each other by chance 40years later who - she died at 94 many years ago & I try to educate my kind when they say they are Spanish & I always put an example of white Americans & say - "so I can say to that man or lady that she is English?" They answer "NO THEY ARE AMERICAN" = but then I say "Oh No your English" & she or he would say "NO I'm an American" & I say the same with us Latinos - we speak Spanish but we are not Spanish we are Hispanic as we SPEAK Spanish... But these countries ENFORCED us to live the way they wanted us to & robbed us of our nationality most of my family are black-rooted Latinos who were brought over in ships where too many died & if they got sick they would throw them off the ship. My father taught us ALOT & my Mother did also on her background but things were erased as the only ones KNOWN of was my great-grandparent's that were killed as my grandmother was used as a made & had to hide my mother till she was 6 years old & they had to flee as my grandfather died when she was only 2years old..... But currently our family are mainly black as we came out light skinned but my cousins & brothers we all have continued BLACK LOVE & I love educating my eldest children - they are grown now = but the education will never stop as a parent.....😁❤️
This is WHY I LOVE this channel & family so MUCH - As for too MANY YEARS blacks were told they weren't good enough, blacks were segregated, blacks were robbed of their nationality & the list goes on & on which is why I embrace that the parents ALWAYS encourage their children & there are so many teachings & they will ALL grow to be STRONG, LOVING. COMPASSIONATE & INDEPENDENTLY BLACK BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE & I CAN SEE THEM EDUCATING OTHERS & THEIR CHILDREN JUST AS THEY HAVE BEEN TAUGHT!!!!

@@moniquewrites9046 I think u misunderstood what this person was trying to say. She saying her father (who is black) was also a descendant of slaves. I’m pretty sure her point was that slaves weren’t only brought to America which is common knowledge and no one ever thought that.
