- Let's upcycle thrifted items into profitable diy decor to resell in my vendor booth. I use an IOD transfer and waverly chalk paint in the color Fern to take these items from someone else's trash to be more "my style" and sell for a profit. It's time to start thinking about fall items in my booth and I'm using this color to try to get me in the mood for all things fall. Thank you so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Love the wood items. When you put the oil on the plate I held my breath because I was afraid your paint was going to smear. Love the pumpkins too. Looks great with the antiquing. Same with the leaf.

The white pumpkins and the green picnic basket are sooo pretty! I really like the Fern color with the antique wax added. It makes the green so rich (in my opinion 😊). And I absolutely love how the wood bowl turned out. I didn't do a lot of wood in my booth when I first started, but that's what I'm gravitating to nowadays 😊. Beautiful work!

I didn't think I was going to like plain white pumpkins, but then I didn't think I was going to like them with antiquing wax, either ... I was wrong! I love how they turned out! 💕

All projects turned out beautifully. My favorite was the Wooden Bowl it looks so Elegant after with the lemon oil. Think the leaf dish looks even better with the brown wax just my thought. TFS and have a great weekend.

Hi Heather, everything looks amazing and like the wood and how just adding the lemon oil rejuvenated them and I also like the little green basket with the transfer on top. Henry wants to play with his new neighbor. 🐶🐾🐾🦴doggie love.

Well I liked all of today's projects. I do like the leat with the antiquing wax. Gave it depth. Your pumpkins are great. Just enough shading. I have a very old wooden salad bowl. I'm sure it is ready for some oil. Take care.
Just looked it up and the lemon oil is NOT labeled as food safe. Just wanted to let you know! It would be great to turn into a decorative bowl though!

Another great video! I like the brown wax look over the green for Fall/Christmas and the regular Green for Spring. Funny about the leaf painted white...I painted one cream last year with antique wax and it is no bueno. I need to redo it. Good idea with the transfer on the picnic basket. I have a large picnic basket that I painted celery last week but the top is flat. I need some transfers or something to put on the top.
Well I believe there is an IOD stockist in your store and you get 10% off of supplies since you are a vendor there! They really do add a vintage look to something that isn’t so vintage!

I am struggling to decide if I should branch out and rent a booth to sell my items. I LOVE TO THRIFT AND UPCYCLE, but I own a small home, and don’t have lots of room to keep all my items. Any input?
Depends on the level of risk you are comfortable with. If you are doing to anyway having a booth is a great outlet and a way to make sure you home space isn’t taken over. I would suggest starting with a small space to keep the rent lower and see if it’s a fit, you never know unless you try!
Both the green pumpkin and leaf have more depth and look more expensive with the dark wax.

The projects are beautiful and should sell very well. I love the wood items the most. What stamp did you use on the plate? I really like it. I don’t care for green at all so I’m probably not the best judge. But I did think the green looked better with the antique wax. It may have been quicker and easier to spray paint the pumpkins instead of brushing the white. Thanks Heather
You are right, should have just spray painted the white. I only had a stark white and didn’t want that bright. Hindsight, I could have just antiqued the whole thing and saved time! 🤦🏽♀️. The stamp is the IOD sprigs stamp.

Love the leaf ! I loved both colors but, the one I would use is the one with the bark wax. Love the wooden plate. Thank you for sharing with us. How has your booth be selling ? Last month I had to pay a little on my booth. Have a blessed weekend. 💞
This month has been slower than my last month but I’ve made rent. Looking forward to fall weather equating to shopping!!!

Unfortunately it can only be used for decorative purposes after lemon oil.
