Festa della Madonna dell'Angelo, Caorle, 2024

Celebration of the Madonna dell'Angelo, an annual religious event in Caorle in Italy's Veneto region. The venerated statue of the Madonna and Child is carried in a procession from her 'home' church to the Duomo, where she stays 24 hours and masses are held. This shows her departure from the Duomo on 14th July 2024 as she is carried back to her sanctuary overlooking the sea.
Crowds gather and fireworks light up the Caorle's famous cylindrical belltower, making it look as though it is on fire.
