This is a topic that the church must face and address and not in a condemnatory fashion. The church may not agree with a certain act or acts that a person does, but the church does have the duty to affirm the worth of that person and to protect him/her from persecution and violence and to speak out on these things. In life, few things are black and white, without some grey areas. It is a challenge, but then the church is used to challenges. The time-honored phrase of “primum non nocere” serves well here in practice both for the clergy and the laity. We are told what the identifying factor of the Christian walk is in Jn 13:35. Sadly, the church has failed to measure up in many regards, but preaching war, hate, discrimination, and violence is never acceptable in "the way" and those who claim Christianity and choose to do these things and preach them from the pulpit should be called out and denounced if they are publicly doing this and then privately approached and ministered to in the hope of reconciliation and restoration.

This is not even speaking to the statistical facts that women tend to be more spiritually mature and devoted than men, and the Bible speaks to not being unequally yoked. In fact, in older generations, women attending evangelical churches outnumber men 2 to 3, only further speaking to the divide. I can understand where he's intending to go, with an encouragement for Christians to value marriage and pursue it intently as a treasure that it is... but that's not even a fully Biblical narrative, as the apostle Paul himself believes that it is better for one to be single than married. So for Dr. White to make an insensitive remark for the purpose of glorifying himself and his opinions while alienating an entire audience... well, it's absolutely inexcusable.
