I have always got along with my mother-in-law friendly, but I did not get along with my father-in-law. I endeavoured to get along with all people. Thank you for your home work.
Thank you so much for watching and putting this phrasal verb in practice, Blanka. Well done! :)
Just two little notes:
I've always got along with my mother-in-law in a friendly way (using only "friendly" sounds unnatural to me in this sentence).
The verb "endeavour" is very, very formal. You could use "try" instead: I try to get along with all people.
Have fun learning English and enjoy the summer,
Markét :)
Thank you for this video, dear Markét:-) I like your aid how to imagine and memorise this verb - great! I get along with my mother-in-law (resp. with the mother of my partner) very well, but I try to plan our common time (mainly the duration) reasonably. Luckily, my colleagues are great, I get along with them without problems. Have a fantastic weekend!😄
Great to hear from you, dear Jana. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 🤩 Oh yes, the reasonable duration of get-togethers is the key! Too much is simply too much.🤣 Have a fantastic weekend yourself! See ya. 🙃

Great, good for you! That's how it's supposed to be. ;) Happy Monday, Markét.
@@EnglishHackerCz a to supposed znamena iba predpokladany?... alebo co to znamena v tejto vete?...thanks :D
@@patrikskumat7113 "to be supposed to" znamená "mít něco udělat", takže v té větě to znamená: tak to má být :)
@@EnglishHackerCz dakujem :D... a to vy doucujete AJ ?
@@patrikskumat7113 mám pár svých stálých studentů na Skype konverzace, ale víc studentů už přijmout z časových i jiných důvodů nemůžu ;)
Market,it is my hmw.
I get along with my mother-in-law very well. I get along with my colleagues great! I don't get along with a neighbor's dog;-). Bye..
Thanks, Renča, for submitting your homework, I appreciate it! :) I'm glad you get along well with almost everybody except for your neighbour's dog. What's going on between you two? :D
@@EnglishHackerCz Hi Market, thank you fot the compliment;-). I like dogs.Even the neighbor's dogs;-)).They are darlings.I had no idea who I didn't get along with..;-)).
@@rencasedkova4458 That's a pity. Well, maybe you two will find a way to get along eventually. Fingers crossed! :)
I still have not any mother-in-law, so I don't know what I will get along with her. 😅
You never know, Kristýna, maybe you'll absolutely love her. Or maybe not. 😁😁 Thank you so much for watching! Btw, you say "I don't have any mother-in-law" or "I haven't got any mother-in-law". Also say: "I don't know IF (=jestli) I will get along with her." 🙃 Take care! Markét
