A contender for Mr. Mobile...Makes sense, since PN and AA are just about evenly-sized competition, with a broad subscriber base (I'm subscribed to both as well as have the AA app installed and on active alert)... Only difference is AA doesn't do anything iOS... Possibly, Josh wants to broaden the product review spectrum like Mike did...

Unfortunately, It is more probable that Ikea will make ARKIT application much sooner than a Tango! With a new update, millions of IDevices will get AR capability at an instant. This is Definitely where Android fails to deliver, UPDATES! Billions of Android users will never get a AR capable device.
Not to bother you or anything, but sony already made an AR app, 4 years ago (at least) . The xperia Z did not have this fancy " tango" thing, it did not have a million sensors, yet it worked just as well as this zenfone did. Their app is even available in the play store. Though this whole AR thing is only good for 5 minutes of fun.
It is sad that Apple was able to create better AR with software than Google with hardware. I'm amazed when I look at ARKIT demos on twitter. Tango can't compete with ARKIT.
it just that a simple camera is doing this and people already have iphones! everything done on ARkit can be done more easily on Tango and other slam devices. Apple just has good devs then any other platform. and yes the achieved more the software alone rather then the hardware due to Dev support. If Google gets the same support for tango ARkit will look very limited. And to be honest if this happens with MS then HoloLens will rule the world for next 20 years. but that's not gonna happen;")
AR kit just reads that there is surface and then slam their gimnick features. A technology that even 3DS has and Sony had it too. Tango using 3D cameras reads the room and gives you accurate information.
AR Kit can read more than just a floor surface (look at demos of people measuring out floor space, playing Pac-Man etc.), Sony and 3DS can't do this (I own both). For the amount of sensors on Tango products it should be blowing AR Kit out of the water. From what I've seen AR Kit looks miles better than anything Tango can do.
Lol Apple AR Kit is as good if not better than Tango and it can be used on any iPhone or iPad later than the 6s, not just phones with a bunch of ugly sensors on the back.

Sorry actually, AR Kit is DEFINITELY better than Tango. Look at 6:35 for example, the ball goes through the wall. Wouldn't happen in AR Kit.
