I can totally relate to around the @10:00 mark, learning how to deal with clients is the hardest part of our job. I have been at it for over ten years and I have learned so much about people and how to deal with Them.
omg yes! mental health can get to you being a hairstylist, as “crazy” as that sounds for some people... but there’s so much that we deal with on the daily that people don’t think about it especially when you’re doing everything on you own; from doing our inventory, booking appointments, having to deal with clients on the daily DMing questions about pricing, how long it would take, etc..... it’s okay to take breaks when needed 😌🤍
YESSS the written was so weird to me it was questions that weren’t even about hair, mine was somewhat about history but thank god I passed 🙏🏽 also I felt like I had failed my technical but when I would get nervous all I would think about was “just sanitize!” lol love your vids girl🤍

Thank you for answering these questions I realize I am really lacking confidence from a bad experience assisting at a salon before! then covid happened and its true I swore I wouldn’t let so much time pass before I took my state board exam and its almost going to be a year since I graduated BS 😅😅 but Im afraid to fail! And even if I still do hair here and there for friends it makes me feel bad because I feel like I suck!

Do you take advanced education and from whom?
I had a man walk into the salon and when introduced to his stylist who was a woman, he promptly told her to her face, " I don't want a woman, I want a man." My manager accommodated him. I was incensed. I felt it should have been handled much differently. Am I wrong?
