Fun trivia: The actor who portrayed the face of the Betazoid gift box is perhaps more popularly recognised as Quark from Deep Space Nine.
That's true!
But not this particular gift box imo.
He later wrote a novel where a Bolian said that the face on the gift box looks disturbingly like Quark.
OK how do you guys know this information?
@@GoldenBladedPhoenix Memory Alpha
T'Ana truly has a way with words.
She's McCoy if he was allowed to swear
She belongs on an HBO show with her Sailor talk.
@@rommdan2716 Yep. A female anthro cat McCoy with a Sailor's mouth.
"Oh, I didn't know that Dr. T'ana came in here!" made me weep.
I love that Tends thinks that it was Dr. T'Ana that taught the gift box to speak in bleep. 😍
Well she was.
You know she's right.
The question is, is a bag of Borg D!(& filled with the organic ones they remove or the cybernetic replacements they put on?
@@nicholaskehler9169 surely organic, i mean, on one hand, we know borg had biological babies they grew, genetic material has to come from somewhere, and second, we all know theyd have a laser cannon if they replaced it with anything
@@ObviouslyNotXenrek If you will recall in voyager at least the Borg drone was grown using a tissue sample extracted from some random guys neck.
This show is sooo good. I literally binged seasons 1-3. Can’t wait for the rest of season 4!!
This show is a Trekkie lovers dream!!
Why does a ship like the Ceritos have Nomad on board? That thing wiped out entire civilizations and they are storing it aboard a California class?
MST3K mantra.
It also served as the hub for the Romulus cloaking device that’s also in there.
Maybe this one's a dud
Maybe they were taking it to the evil AI prison?
@@Vegadra it should already be there. Or in that section 31 station where they keep Kirk and the attack tribble
"You want your head to fall off and skitter away?"
So that Spider's the Thing?
Wait, so if the box just repeats what it hears... who's talking about living with Rutherford?
Probably Billips
As an old Trekkie who dislikes new trek, this show is winning me over.
Now watch Strange New Worlds, it feels like the best of ToS
Lower Drecks is nothing but member berries
The writers and showrunners are old Trekkies who love the old material. They don't ignore it or try to make extensive retconns; they lean into "$#!t in space is freaky!", make a few jokes, and move on.
A entire room of Dangerous Anomalies and they use them for Hazing Pranks
0:05 lol why they still kept the cloaking device?
That is NOMAD, another homicidal AI that Kirk talked into destroying itself.
Good god, I'm loving this season.
Why is all this stuff on the Cerritos and not in a secret ops facility
Well the Betazoid gift box isn’t a threat, just kind of annoying. And a Bat’leth is just a sword. You may be overthinking how dangerous some of this stuff is.
The better question is: Who would suspect a lowly California Class of having top secret materials onboard?
@@TheRobin53well, the Cali class has the unglamourous job of cleaning up the messes left by the first contact groups... fits perfectly, like the custodian staff of a bio weapons research labs. Nobody suspects the janitors.
Anomalies are ten for a penny in the Trek universe. Unless it's something strategically significant or incredibly dangerous (like Omega), I'd imagine the Federation just leaves it at the discretion of the crews.
Because anomalies are just the norm in a giant science fiction universe and it makes for a much more interesting story
was that the mountain shack mentions when rutherford ask how how shack came back
Do borg even still have... bits?
Sure, how else would there be borg babies for Boimler to save in that drill?
@@jordanloux3883 assimilating babies
Reminds me a lot of start treck 2 which took place in San fransisco
JJ Abrams cursed us with the plague of super serious all the time Star Trek for the past few years.
Anyone notice that they've all been promoted?
They were promoted in the first two episodes.
